Built from locally quarried schist stone, and finished with warm timbers, the lodge exudes understated sophistication and a genuine sense of place. Its expansive window-walled design floods interiors with natural light, framing ever-changing mountain and lake vistas. The four large guest suites each feature walk-in wardrobes, a heated-floor en suite bathroom, and luxurious linens, while the master suite includes a private den with a gas fireplace and sitting area – the perfect hideaway for quiet reflection.

Whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation, Lodge Lorien caters effortlessly to your needs. Glenorchy is only a 5 minutes drive away, and from here guests can access the best hiking routes. Queenstown, 45 minutes away, has a good range of shops and restaurants. Arrowtown, near Queenstown, is a historic site where guests can discover the legacy of the 1860's Otago gold rush. The concierge services at Lodge Lorien also offer a range of experiences including a multi-sports tour into the mountains and a chopper ride from the lodge to the west coast via Milford Sound.
