The dog will love being included in a family holiday as well. Sorry - we don't accept hens or stags.
The accommodation at 1920s Longfield is light and airy having been completely modernised a few years ago. The bespoke kitchen is ideal for cooking together with meals served in the lovely dining room for 12 with bi-fold door terrace access. For a special occasion enquire about hiring in local chef Jean-Philippe Bidart to cook up a gastronomic feast to celebrate a big birthday or anniversary. The main drawing room is a lovely space to enjoy at any time of day, gazing out to sea through the enormous bay window, and guests can light the open fire on cooler evenings. The Snug is a fantastic alternative space, especially for a mixed age group, offering plenty of sofas and a large TV with full Sky package. Not 1 but 2 games rooms provide an extended family with lots of fun playing billiards, table tennis and table football as well as being somewhere else to socialise.
The bedrooms are luxury spaces with yet more jawdropping views, elegant design and 3 with fabulous en suites. Bedrooms 5 and 6 are on the ground floor. The Annexe is an option to hire with the main house, a great choice for a young family or grandparents who want to relax in their own lounge for some of the time. Contemporary bathroom facilities are plentiful across both houses.
Longfield is the sort of holiday house that guests don't want to leave, with opportunities for morning coffee in the sun, a catch up next to the pond, or a family tennis tournament on the court in the grounds. Direct coast path access to Bantham is perfect for a wander into the village and a stop off at the cafe for ice cream. The estuary is a brilliant place to try out some kayaking or paddleboarding. Kingsbridge is in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and known for its amazing market building, The Shambles.
