On the edge of the North York Moors and within easy reach of the coast, Low Borrowby Barn is a peaceful rural destination for multi generational families, hen weekends and friends meeting up for a holiday or celebration. A popular choice with keen hikers and cyclists, there are numerous tracks and paths straight from the door.
The living accommodation is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen, long dining table and seating area with a cosy wood burner. In addition to the main kitchen, the family room has its own kitchenette, dining and sitting area. The barn has traditional vaulted ceilings, beams and feature walls, a reminder of its past history as farm buildings, now fully renovated with modern conveniences.
The barn is accessed through its own yard, where there is plenty of parking available. Guests can also relax on the patio with a coffee or drink. This area is perfect if you wish to hire a hot tub, which can be easily arranged at an extra cost. Fantastic countryside views complete the picture, this really is somewhere special.
Bedrooms offer a combination of kings, twins, a double and a single, handy for a mixed age group. They are individually decorated with attractive soft furnishings and occasional furniture to create comfy spaces. 2 bedrooms are on the ground floor, useful for anyone in the group who isn't keen on stairs. Please note that there is a spiral staircase leading to the 1st floor. Bathrooms are plentiful with baths and showers and the family room also has its own en suite.
The North York Moors are home to any number of gems for a day out exploring, including Goathland (Harry Potter Village) and on the coast Runswick Bay and Staithes with independent gift shops, cafes and perfect beaches. And of course Whitby is perfect for a family day at the beach and a fish and chips supper.
