Much loved by its owners, Low How offers all who visit a warm and comfortable base to rest their heads. Due to its location, this spacious cottage is perfectly positioned for families and groups wishing to explore Coniston and the central Lakes area. The surrounding Coniston fells can be accessed easily straight from the front door and the delightful amenities of Coniston are just a few minutes’ walk away. Entry is into the slate floored entrance hall, with plenty of room for discarded walking boots and jackets, very handy for ramblers. Turn right and there’s an enormous living room, with comfortable seating, large log burner and views to the garden beyond. There are also plenty of games should you be able to drag the children away from the TV and DVD. French windows from the sitting room lead to the south-facing sun terrace, with a table for six, bench, charcoal BBQ and garden lights. The kitchen enjoys all the mod cons you’d need to cater for large families and groups of friends, with double electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer-dryer. There’s also a separate dining room that can sit 10 just off the kitchen. There are four large bedrooms that can be used as doubles (queen-sized beds) or twins, with three being en suite. They all have garden and fell views. You may also be surprised to find a sauna in the shower room, which might be just what you need after a day on the fells. There’s also a separate toilet with WC and wash hand basin. Outside a garden surrounds the cottage, with views of meadows, the lake and the rolling fells beyond. The terrace just off the sitting room is a gorgeous spot for al fresco cooking and dining.
