Low Jock Scar Estate is situated just a few miles north of the historic market town of Kendal tucked away on the banks of Bannisdale Beck. This unique and charming gem occupies an idyllic location between the Lakes and Dales, making this a fantastic base for a holiday or group get together, with wonderful walking to be enjoyed from the door.

All well equipped and comfortable, these cottages are a great choice for family groups or friends away together, affording everyone a little privacy but allowing all to socialise together. There is room in Riverside for 16 to dine together, wood burners for cosy evenings, and Riverside has a wonderful hot tub set on the banks of the brook, perfect to relax in after the exertions of your day out exploring.

These lovely cottages sit within several acres of mature gardens and woodland creating a calm and peaceful environment. This is a wonderful spot for nature lovers - the drifts of bluebells and stunning autumn colours are equally dramatic, and the grounds are frequented by a wide variety of birds and wildlife.

Low Jock Scar provides an ideal base at the Gateway to the Lakes for guests wishing to explore and enjoy all that this beautiful part of the country has to offer. Locally there are walks and cycle routes for all abilities, and it's an easy day trip to the further reaches of the Lakes or Dales. Just a few miles away, the town of Kendal offers something for everyone, including historic buildings and a castle, a picturesque riverside setting, shopping and a great selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants.

- **Dog Friendly:** No pets - sorry.
- **Accessibility:** Ground floor bedroom in Riverside. No specific facilities for disabled guests.
- **WiFi:** All cottages have WiFi.
- **Kitchen:** All well equipped. Riverside: fully fitted in June 2018 with hob, oven, wine cooler, fridge freezer. Butterfly: double oven, hob, fridge freezer.
- **Dining Room:** All cottages have dining areas. Riverside has an extra dining area able to seat 16.
- **Sitting Room:** All cottages have their own sitting rooms. Riverside has a sitting room with 4 leather suites and numerous chairs where everybody can meet.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** All cottages have TVs. Riverside has a 43" and a 55" smart TV DAB radio.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** All cottages have Worcester Bosch central heating systems newly installed in 2018. Tulip and Butterfly have a log burner. Riverside has 2 log burners.
- **Bedrooms:** Mix of doubles and twins. 7 of the 9 bedrooms are fully en suite.
- **Linen:** Linen is very special to the owners - Egyptian 300 thread count sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers of hotel 5 star standards are provided.
- **Bathrooms:** 7 bedrooms have an en suite. 2 of the upstairs bedrooms in Butterfly have a shared bathroom. Riverside and Butterfly have separate downstairs wc.
- **Children's Facilities:** 6 acres of beautiful gardens to play in.
- **Outdoor:** Lovely lawned and wooded grounds extending to 6 acres. Hot tub for Riverside and barbecues.
- **Swimming Pool:** No pool but a great hot tub on the rive plus a further hot tub in the woods.
- **Parking:** Parking for over 12 plus all within the grounds.
- **Smoking:** No smoking please.
