Low Mill Centre is built to accommodate groups, sleeping up to 40 people. This large self catering bunkhouse in Wensleydale is a comfortable base for outdoor sports and activities or big family get togethers - great for either a weekend or a longer holiday.

The bunk-style rooms make for a good nights sleep and group dining is a great way to share the days adventures. The large fully equipped kitchen opens onto the dining area. There are 7 bedrooms of various sizes all fitted with bunk beds and having an en-suite bathroom. Bed linen, pillows and duvets are provided.

The beamed communal/lounge area is ideal for an evenings R&R with comfy seats, an open fire, large TV/DVD and a selection of board games. There is also a games area with pool table, table tennis and chalk score board. There's a separate quiet room with a selection of books.

Low Mill Centre has been built with outdoor activities in mind and provides all the facilities you'll need to the get most from your holiday. You'll have free access to Low Mill's WiFi during your stay. The Centre is adapted for wheelchair users with specially adapted rooms and lift to the communal areas. You'll have use of the drying room, a vital part of a trip to the Dales, and our Biomass boiler ensures that there's plenty of hot water on hand.

There's on-site park for up to 15 cars, and space to store bikes and sports equipment - please check for details before booking.

Low Mill is ideally situated in Askrigg, Wensleydale, with good access to many walks, rivers, climbs and caves, and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. It's village location means you're close to restaurants, pubs and the local shop which provides a great range of groceries. The centre is a few miles from the Pennine Way and Lady Anne's Way and has many cycle routes to suite all abilities.

Less than a hour by car from the M6 and A1, the centre gives you easy access to the Yorkshire Dales. Nearest trains stations are Garsdale (20mins), Oxenholme (55mins) and Northallerton (50mins).

WiFi

We have free WiFi at the centre although reception is not that strong.

Disabled Facilities

The centre has been adapted to accommodate disabled guests and there is a lift to the upstairs common rooms. All bedrooms are on the ground floor.

Dog Friendly

Pets are not allowed other than assistance dogs by arrangement.

Kitchen

Fully equipped catering kitchen. There is also a front kitchen area with a fridge, toaster, microwave, dishwasher and water boiler for hot drinks.

Dining Room

Wooden tables and benches can be arranged in different configurations to best suit your groups needs. Serving hatch through to the front kitchen.

Sitting Room

Large beamed communal area with comfy seats and an open fire. There is also a private separate room with comfy seating and a selection of books.

TV and Music Facilities

A large TV and DVD.

Games Room

Upstairs there is a games area with a pool table, table tennis table and a chalk board to keep score.

Heating and Open Fires

We have an open fire in the lounge area. The centre is powered by biomass offering environmentally friendly heating.

Bedrooms

7 bedrooms, all with bunk beds and each with an en suite bathroom. Flexible sleeping options over 2 wings (rooms sleep 14, 8, 6, 4, 4, 2, 2).

Linen

Duvets, pillows and bed linen is provided. We do not provide towels or tea towels.

Bathrooms

All bathrooms have a toilet, washbasin and shower. Some dormitories have accessible wet rooms for groups with additional needs.

Children's Facilities

Our centre is child friendly, though we do not provide cots, high chairs.

Outdoor

Mill Gill runs through the grounds of the centre with a grassed area, with fire pit, to the rear. The community football field is next door.

Swimming Pool

We do not have a swimming pool although Semerwater is a short drive away for those of you interested in wild swimming!

Off road on-site parking.

Smoking

There is no smoking in the centre. We have a smoking shelter outside for your use.

On the outskirts of Askrigg village, which was used for filming the series All Creatures Great & Small. Askrigg is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with three pubs, a cafe and shop.
