Lower Damgate Farm is situated near Dovedale in the Peak District National Park. Nestled between the Rivers of Dovedale and the Manifold Rivers, the farm has far reaching views and stunning walks straight from the door and is placed in a wonderful setting for you to get together with friends and loved ones. Whether you are staying for a short break, long weekend, longer stay or business group or wedding, you will find the ambience of the farm perfect for any occasion.

We specialise in large groups and family gatherings, birthday celebrations, reunions or we can host your wedding or business workshop. Whatever your occasion you will find the natural setting of the farm a perfect place to relax and enjoy time away together.

Our ethos in life is that ‘nothing is a problem’ and though we are only a small family business we take pride in what we have created over the last 20 years and it gives us great pleasure to be able to share it with you.
Lower Damgate Farm is also home to Dovedale Animal Sanctuary which was founded in 1996 . Over the years the Sanctuary has grown and is now home to many animals with a ménage of alpacas, goats, horses, sheep, geese ducks and chickens. Guests are welcome to visit and meet the animals and often join us at feeding time or go and collect eggs from the hen house for breakfast!

Dog Friendly

Pets by arrangement. We welcome pets in the Courtyard property. The Farmhouse and Alpaca Hut we try and keep allergy free.

Accessibility

Most bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floors with easy access. Wheelchair users can access the downstairs bedroom & bathroom in Reubens Roost.

Hot Tub

2 Hot Tubs, by arrangement, and booked with exclusive use or with Purdy's Place and the Alpaca Hut.

WiFi

EE mobile reception good, others not so, but free Fibre WiFi is included.

Kitchen

Open plan very well equipped kitchen that enables you to all cook and be together, with all the amenities you need. There are also break off kitchens.

Dining Room

High vaulted kitchen dining area that seats 30 guests. Plus there are other dining areas and large group areas where you can all be together.

Sitting Room

There is a large sitting and games room with media. All have luxury furnishings and comfortable seating. Plus other seating areas to be together.

TV and Music Facilities

DVD, Sat Freeview, Stereo and WiFi are included.

Games Room

There is a games room with Super league pool table, board games, large TV with DVD (bring your own computer games), plus outdoor games and videos.

Heating and Open Fires

All heating is included in the price. There is a fire pit by arrangement overlooking the farm and views.

Bedrooms

Courtyard - 6 x doubles, 3 x doubles with a single, 2 twins, plus 1 single + please see bedroom layout map) Purdys 2 beds + Alpaca Hut 1 bed ensuite.

Linen

Linen is included in the price and all permanent beds are made up for you before arrival. Guests need to provide own bath towels.

Bathrooms

5 in the courtyard (2 showers, 3 bathrooms).

Children's Facilities

Feed 22 the animals, 22 acres of grounds, safe garden, 2 acre mown paddock, Little Tykes play area.

Outdoor

Mown gardens, decking areas with furniture, large stone BBQs, play area 22 acres and paddocks mown in summer, stunning views. Ideal for events.

Swimming Pool

There is no swimming pool, However there is a hot tub with the Alpaca Hut.

Parking

Ample private parking on site.

Smoking

No smoking inside but there is a dedicated smoking area outside.

Booking Information

Weekends are Friday to Monday and mid weeks Monday to Friday. Min 3 nights
£500 to secure the booking and the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival.
