You will have the opportunity to have your own bit of tranquil countryside. Exclusively yours for your own family or group. Lydeard Farm Bush Camp & Lodges is located in Broomfield, Somerset. 20 minutes from the M5 motorway.  Close to Taunton, the Somerset Coast and Exmoor. Ideal for family celebrations, school or group residentials, sports tours, activity retreats, church groups and stag and hen parties.  Stay: Fri-Fri 7 nights | Mon-Fri 4 nights | Fri-Mon 2/3 nights • Sole use of the Bush Camp • Self-catering although we can recommend a caterer.  • Peaceful • Unique • Spacious • Rustic • Freedom to roam… The Lodges: Are clean, warm and comfortable. Simple yet perfect accommodation for those who embrace the great outdoors. Each lodge has 2 or 3 bedrooms sleeping between 2- 6 guests. Rooms mainly bunk beds although some twins are available. Each lodge has a central bathroom with 2 sinks, 2 toilets and 2 showers. Heating is provided throughout.  The bush camp is unique place to stay and spend quality time in a beautiful location that is within a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.  There are 5 lodges, which can accommodate up to 56 people depending on the group configurations. In order to maintain a low base price, we allocate rooms as required so all beds are in use. Or pay a supplement to spread out over more lodges.  The ‘Bush Camp Shelter’ This is where you will dine, cook and relax, with plenty of  indoor space to play games. Adjacent you can sit around the camp fire toasting marshmallows or gazing at the stars,  It's set away from the Lodges (~60m), and provides a beautiful, rustic, spacious area to relax and get away from it all. There is no WiFi and little mobile reception – although you can get some networks if you head to the top of the hill. Activities on the farm for an extra charge include archery,  air rifle guns. We prouldy hold the LOtC badge (Site Only) he LOtC Quality Badge is the only scheme that recognises quality and effectiveness of risk management and is awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** No pets permitted unless by prior arrangement. We have stock on the farm which must not be chased. - **Accessibility:** Please contact us with regards to disabled facilities. The site may not be suitable for everyone, but we do our upmost to cater for all needs. - **WiFi:** Mobile phone coverage is poor; reception only if you walk up the hill. No WiFi. (school, youth groups we allow the leader to access wifi at farmhouse) - **Kitchen:** The kitchen is within the Bush Camp Shelter with a 5-ring gas cooker/oven, microwave, fridge and small freezer with plenty of utensils, pans, KFS. - **Dining Room:** The dining room is large with a wood burner, plenty of tables and benches and space for larger groups (up to 60) to dine inside or out. - **Sitting Room:** The Bush Camp Shelter is spacious, rustic and embraces 'outdoor-indoor living' with space for games. - **TV and Music Facilities:** There is no TV. - **Games Room:** The Bush Camp Shelter is used as a games room. It is spacious, with seating and tables and canvas curtains that can be opened. - **Heating and Open Fires:** The Lodges have central heating and there is a wood burner in the Bush Camp Shelter. Outside, a large BBQ area with a fire pit. - **Bedrooms:** There are 5 lodges; 2 lodges have twin/double beds. The rest have bunkbeds ranging from 1-3 per room depending on size. - **Linen:** We provide base sheets on our mattresses. Please bring your own sleeping bag / duvet, pillow and towels. - **Bathrooms:** Each Lodge has: 2 basins, 2 showers and 2 toilets. One lodge has an accessible toilet and shower wet room. - **Children's Facilities:** Extremely child friendly; grass, space, play... There are ponds so parents must take responsibility. Bring cot if required. - **Outdoor:** Acres to roam. Space for games. An outside sheltered BBQ area with a place for an open fire and outdoor furniture. - **Swimming Pool:** No pool on site. The nearest indoor swimming pool is in Bridgwater or Taunton approximately 15-20 minutes drive. - **Parking:** There is on-site free private parking with a hard core road access. - **Smoking:** Strictly no smoking or vaping in any buildings.
