Event Spaces:

· The Bothy Terrace: Seats 32 under a glass roof and sides for protection in all weathers. Features include a fridge, gas/electric oven, hot water and a wood stove with 2 pizza ovens on the terrace.

· The Dell Firepit: A large firepit in the woodland by a stream, perfect for evening gatherings and capable of feeding 32.

· Games Room: Equipped with a pool table, large screen, darts board, chess and other board games, a log-burning stove, and an American fridge.

· The Bothy is reserved for your use when Madeira is booked exclusively by your group. The games room can be rented at request for limited periods during your stay if available

All cottages are ground floor and we can provide some aids for disabled guests; however its best to discuss your requirements with Tara.

Kitchen

Each terraced cottage has a fully equipped kitchen. The Gardeners Cottage has a large spacious kitchen/dining/sitting area. 16 can sit for dinner.

Dining Room

Tables in each cottage allow the capacity of that cottage to sit down and eat. If a larger group wants to eat together The Bothy is very versatile.

Sitting Room

All cottages have their own sitting rooms and the Gardeners Cottage has a sitting room and a sunroom with additional seating.

TV and Music Facilities

All cottages have their own TV.

Games Room

There is a games room with pool, darts and board games. Must be booked as an event space subject to availability; a fee is required.

Heating and Open Fires

Central heating throughout all cottages. The Gardeners Cottage has a wood burning stove as does the Games Room and The Bothy.

Bedrooms

3 bedrooms in the large cottage (2 double/twin) and 1 triple bunk. Each small cottage has 1 bedroom with twin/double bed. Sofa bed in each cottage.

Linen

All linen and towels are hotel quality and are provided free of charge. If you require a change during your stay we can do that for a minimal fee.

Bathrooms

En suite shower room and a family bathroom with shower in Gardeners Cottage, the other cottages have en suites with either a shower or shower/bath.

Children's Facilities

There are very large gardens to roam in and some rope swings and woods to play in. Its a magical place with our 'dragons nest', fairy tree, dens....

Outdoor

Barbecue facilities, a large fire pit at The Dell next to the stream in the woods and pizza ovens in The Bothy which can be moved to a cottage.

Swimming Pool

There is no pool but the sea is close by. Extra hot tubs can be hired in.

Parking

Plentiful parking on site.

Smoking

No smoking inside the cottages please.

Normal entry time is 4pm and we ask guests to leave by 10 am but we can do a ‘Snoozy Sunday’ if you can only stay 2 nights so you enjoy Madeira to the fullest.

1 mile from Pittenweem village, 9 miles from St Andrews and 1 hour from Edinburgh airport.

Anstruther is a mile away and has lots of amenities, St Andrews is 15 mins away and has everything you could need.
Pittenweem has a baker, grocer, chemist and hairdresser and is a 10 min walk.
In Pittenweem there are pubs and cafes.
Edinburgh is 1 hour away and Dundee is 45 mins away.
Leauchars is 25 mins away, as is Markinch.
You can get a bus from the village to take you to St Andrews or Edinburgh.
