Madeira In Fife is a selection of pretty Cottages and three gorgeous Tree Houses situated in a beautiful rural garden with a Victorian red brick wall as a backdrop, and 10 acres of woods and lawns. Our cottages were originally the buildings used by gardeners looking after the gardens of The Grangemuir Estate and have now been recently refurbished. Our Tree Houses are newly built, fully equipped and being nestled in the canopy is wonderful. It is a very calm, relaxing setting here, however, we are also very close to Pittenweem Village and the other pretty fishing villages that form a string down the East Neuk Coast. St Andrews is only 9 miles away and we are an hour from Edinburgh.

Every cottage has a sofa bed for additional guests, so a total of 32 people can stay on site in close proximity to each other yet with their own private amenities. We can sleep 11 individuals in their own rooms, 9 of which are en suite and 2 people would share a bathroom.

People visit us throughout the year as there is plenty to do year round in the local area.

If you'd like to hold an event here you can hire Madeira exclusively. We can tailor our offering to whatever you need, whether its a small wedding, an intimate gathering, a corporate awayday event, or its a perfect place for a yoga or writing retreat.

The Bothy Terrace can seat 32 people under a glass roof. A canopy can be pulled down to make it more weather proof if needed. The Bothy has a fridge, electric oven, hot water, inside seating for 8, and 32 on the terrace, a stove and 2 pizza ovens.

The Dell Firepit is in the woodland, its huge and can easily feed 32. It's located by the stream in the woods and is a lovely place to spend an evening with friends. Our games room has a pool table, large screen, darts board, chess and other board games, log burning stove and an American fridge. The Bothy and Games room can be booked for an event timeslot when a group takes over Madeira exclusively.

We have many local activities which groups can enjoy - golf, water sports, walking, foraging, eating out, and biking.
