Located in a conservation area, Magical Margate is just a 3 minute walk from the Viking Coastal Path and within 5 minutes of quiet sandy beaches so there really is no need to use your car. The Old Town is an easy stroll from the property with its typical seaside promenade, independent retro shops, buzzy cafes and bars, popular at any time of year. Margate has grown into a super cool destination, combining old resort town traditions like fish and chips with The Turner Art Gallery and Dreamland Theme Park. In the recent refurbishment of the house, lots of thought has gone into providing a great space for larger gatherings. The kitchen is very well designed and ideal for the preparation of meals for everyone with its range cooker and 2 dishwashers. A large dining table means that all 16 guests can sit down and enjoy just being together in a room packed with traditional features such as high ceilings and huge windows. The large enclosed courtyard is a great place for a family barbecue and somewhere ambient to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of fizz. The lounge is a really light and airy room with plenty of comfy seating for everyone, street views and toasty warm log burning stove. The games/cinema room on the first floor provides somewhere for everyone to watch a film on the 65" Smart TV or a fun space for the youngsters to socialise and play the Play Station 3. The owners have even made a playroom for the very young visitors with lots of toys, games and DVDs. For somewhere quieter, the garden room on the ground floor is perfect for a nice chat or the third floor study with graphic novels, comics and books. All of these extra spaces offer choice for multi generation groups especially. 8 beautifully designed bedrooms, all en suite, give hotel style comfort and privacy. Some rooms have pretty sea views and 1 on the lower ground floor has French doors to the outside courtyard. Decor is quirky and colourful with upcycled furnishings reflecting the Margate outside of the house.
