Spend your days enjoying simple pleasures: gather wood from the hedgerow to build a campfire, create a treasure hunt, or explore Anna’s scenic walks and the surrounding area. Play board games, admire the vibrant blooms cultivated by the local wedding florist, or relax in a unique metal bath hot tub (included with 5 out of the 7 canvas hideaways). Each tent comes equipped with a pizza oven, so you can whip up delicious meals. As night falls, Manor Farm stands out among Feather Downs with individual fire pits at every hideaway. Savor hearty stews, toast marshmallows, enjoy epic barbecues and sing campfire songs before retreating to your cozy beds for a dream-filled sleep. The perfect spot for a memorable family holiday in the South Downs.

Your canvas hideaway is incredibly spacious and comfortable. The interior is a reminder of the honest country-life of times gone by, best described as a cottage under canvas. Our canvas hideaways comfortably sleep up to 5 adults and 1 child under 12, with 3 bedrooms with premium, comfortable mattresses: spacious double bed, cosy cupboard bed, and a bunk bed. From fully equipped kitchens to private showers and flushing toilets, we provide all the amenities you need to make your stay not just comfortable, but relaxing. And with no electricity in the canvas hideaway, you can escape from the daily distractions to focus on true quality time together.

Your holiday in the South Downs National Park offers more than just breathtaking natural beauty. Literature lovers, both young and old, will delight in a visit from Thomas the Tank Engine on the Watercress Line, while history enthusiasts can explore the nearby homes of pioneering naturalist Gilbert White in Selborne and celebrated novelist Jane Austen in Chawton. The coast at West Wittering is just an hour away, perfect for seaside fun, or head to Frensham for invigorating wild swimming. Winchester is a short drive away, offering a delightful mix of retail therapy and historic charm.

With footpaths directly from the farm, a countryside ramble is the perfect afternoon activity. The Three Horseshoes pub can be reached by foot from the farm in approximately 20-25 minutes along a footpath, but bring your wellies!

Facilities

Dog Friendly

Manor Farm is dog-friendly, with 2 dogs permitted per canvas hideaway. A small charge of £30 per dog per stay applies.

Hot Tub

5 of our 7 canvas hideaways come with a unique bath hot tub next to your cosy hideaway. Perfect for daytime fun or relaxing in the warm water.

WiFi

We purposefully don't have WiFi at our farms, to help you switch off from daily pressures and truly enjoy time together with loved ones in nature.

Heating and Open Fires

Each hideaway comes equipped with it's own wood burning stove, perfect for both heating and cooking up delicious meals.

Outdoor

Nestled in nature, there are open fields with space for games, sports and fun activities together. Or enjoy a walk through the countryside together.

Booking Information

Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am please. 3 night minimum at weekends, 4 nights midweek.

30% deposit to secure booking, with remaining balance due 10 weeks before arrival.

No damage deposit taken.

The following provisions apply to all cancellations:

a. In the event of a cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start of the stay, you will be entitled to change the date of your stay to an alternative in the same calendar year, or a 100% refund of the booking value that has been received in full. If the new date is more expensive than your original date, an additional payment will be required to cover the price difference. However, if the new date is priced lower, you will receive a refund of the price difference from Feather Down Farms.

b. In the event of cancellation between 6 to 3 weeks before the start of the stay, you will be entitled to change the date of your stay to an alternative in the same calendar year, or a 50% refund of the booking value that has been received in full. If the new date is more expensive than your original date, an additional payment will be required to cover the price difference. If the new date is advertised at a lower price, you are not entitled to a refund of the price difference.

c. In the event of cancellation between 3 weeks and 24 hours before the start of the stay, there is no option to transfer the booking to another date. You will receive a 25% voucher of the booking value (rounded to the nearest value) to use towards another booking within the same booking season.

d. In the event of cancellation within 24 hours before the start of the stay, the full booking amount is retained by Feather Down Farms and no refund is due.

At Feather Down there is no statutory cooling-off period of 14 days.
