The elegant, beamed and raftered Manor Farm Barn is made for family or friends celebrations. This is a spectacular open space with lofty ceilings and vast windows, an inglenook fireplace, flagstone floors, big sofas; it never feels crowded. There’s a great table for dining and French windows to the garden. The long brick-floor kitchen, overlooking fields, has a snug sitting room tucked to one side, with glasses aplenty for quaffing chilled apéritifs from the big fridge.

There’s still bags of room for 5 bedrooms, daisy-fresh with creamy walls, beams and carpeted floors. Carved wood or ironwork bedsteads, check or floral curtains – the furnishings are country-style and uncluttered, and the sparkling bathrooms and the shower room mean no queues.

All is taken care of here: barbecue, high chairs, laundry room, and a spacious, neatly mown half-acre garden, with a trampoline, seating and a hot tub for gazing at the stars.

Just a quick 3 minute stroll up the road is the Granary (sleeps 2): a delightful self-contained conversion with its own private garden.Tailor-made for hot sunny days and cosy winter evenings, this converted granary is carefully furnished and equipped with everything you need. Compact and comfortable, the long, vaulted single-storey building is both a snug hideaway and bright, summery sanctuary, with views out to the lawn and pond, reassuringly private and hidden away. Neutral tones, floral fabrics and well-placed lamps create a restful space in the open-plan sitting room and neat kitchen. Across the hall, a spacious, gentle blue-painted bedroom with vaulted ceiling leads through to the modern shower room. Home-made fruit cake awaits your arrival, plus logs for the wood burner and fresh flowers.

In the village there are tons of walks and cycle routes, a play area, a beauty studio, reflexology, the local pub and nearby riding stables. Beyond, guests can explore Sutton Hoo, vineyards, and the coast, as well as Constable country and the Broads.

The owners live on site and will meet and greet.
