Just 30 minutes from York, this stunning eight-bedroom traditional farmhouse and stable annex is perfect for large family occasions, events, holidays or parties. The house and stables comfortably sleep up to 20 people.

Main accommodation comprises 3 double rooms, a twin room, a family room and 6-bed dormitory which makes it perfect for families with children. We also have two ground floor bedrooms in the stable annex opposite.

Set on a working farm in the village of Harswell, next to the Yorkshire Wolds, this property retains all the charm of a country retreat. Its large traditional farmhouse kitchen with double AGA is ideal for large groups. Catering is also available on request.

The farmhouse has the village church within its grounds and is surrounded by beautiful countryside with great walks and cycling routes. Manor House Farm has been tastefully restored, retaining many of its original features including window shutters, beams, stone floors and open fireplaces. It nestles between the idyllic village church and barns of the old estate farm.

The huge lounge with open fire makes it ideal for banquet-style dining and will comfortably accommodate 20 plus diners. There is also a smaller lounge with woodburner for more cosy gatherings.

With ample parking and enclosed garden for children to play, this holiday home is perfect for family groups and pets. It also has space for event facilities and marquees can be erected on request in the private gardens.

Manor House Farm is just 15 minutes from the Yorkshire Wolds, close to the market towns of Pocklington and Market Weighton. The historic city of York is just 25 minutes away and the beautiful market town of Beverley is around 25 minutes drive.

Booking Information

A deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before arrival. Bookings can be made on-line through our web site or by telephone. There is a double security deposit required for pets.
Arrival is 2pm and we asks guests to vacate by 10am.

Location

30 minutes from York and 25 minutes from Beverley in the lovely village of Harswell. At the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds surrounded by open countryside and just off the main route to the coast.

  • The York to Hull buses stop at Pocklington and Market Weighton on a regular basis. There is also a service which stops at Holme on Spalding Moor village.
  • Howden station is just a 12 minute drive. Other nearby stations are York (30 minutes) Doncaster, Selby, Beverley, Driffield and Hull.
  • 30 minutes from York. Market towns of Pocklington and Market Weighton 15 minutes away and the historic market town of Beverley is 25 minutes away. Less than 1 hour from Bridlington and Scarborough.
  • Plenty of shopping in the nearby Market Towns of Pocklington and Market Weighton which have the main supermarkets. Nearest village shop is in Holme On Spalding Moor 5 minutes away.
  • Many traditional village pubs and restaurants within 5 to 15 minute drive. The nearest pub is a 5 minute drive and the award winning pub/restaurant The Star at Sancton is just 10 minutes away.
