## About The Property

Mas de la Serra is a dramatic historic country home with some of the best views in Spain. With 8 en suite double bedrooms it is perfect for a large family gathering or celebration or wedding.  Our staff and gastronomy make us stand out from the rest, and a full concierge service is provided.

Luis and Jenny will make sure that every aspect of your holiday runs smoothly. Jenny is a great cook and prepares delicious adult and children's meals using local ingredients. Luis can help with translation, booking restaurants and arranging activities. Our pricing includes a full daily breakfast (bread, fruits, yogurt, honey, cereals, scrambled eggs, orange juice, tea and coffee) and a welcome dinner. Additional dinners can be arranged before arrival and usually take place on the terrace.

Mas de la Serra enjoys a blissfully rural setting with soaring views, set in the middle of a historic, 50-acre almond farm. Valderrobres is the nearest town just 20 minutes away - here you will find supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Car hire is essential.

The house is beautifully decorated with the owners' family heirlooms and very comfortable beds and linen. Three of the rooms can be made into twins and extra beds and cots are also available. All the bedrooms have stunning views of the mountains, almond groves and the limestone buttresses which dominate one side of the masia.

There are several terraces and patios for guests to have their own private space, as well as excellent facilities including home cinema, pool table, table tennis, board games, open WiFi and an honesty bar should you not want to bring all your own drinks.

The surrounding area is excellent for wild swimming, canyoning, riding, fossil hunting and paddle boarding on the nearby lake. Several of the historic villages have been listed in the group of most beautiful villages in Spain. The vulture feeding spectacle is one of the top wildlife experiences in Europe. This is one of the last untouched parts of Spain known as the 'Spanish Tuscany' with a wonderful easygoing climate with cool evenings due to the altitude.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Please advise us before booking - pets are not normally allowed.
- **Accessibility:** There is some disabled access. There is a bedroom on the ground floor with disabled access to the main sitting room. See website for more info.
- **Hot Tub:** There is an extra charge for use of the hot tub of €50 / day . The hot tub is wood fired and not available in the middle of summer due to forest risk
- **WiFi:** The masia has mobile coverage and there is also Broadband Internet all over the property and a main office phone.
- **Kitchen:** The fully fitted kitchen is also used for the restaurant when the rooms are taken individually and so has all the latest facilities.
- **Dining Room:** There are several dining options whether outside on one of the terraces and patios or inside in one of 3 dining areas where 16 can sit together.
- **Sitting Room:** There are 3 sitting rooms, 1 with open fireplace and the other 2 with large stoves. One covers the whole of the top floor leading to a roof patio.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** Satellite TV/DVD is available in all the rooms. There is also a home cinema room with screen and music systems in the sitting areas and terrace.
- **Games Room:** Pool table, table tennis. There are plenty of board games, DVDs as well as outdoor games including croquet lawn, pool games and volleyball.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** There is central heating in the winter and 2 sittings rooms with large fires.
- **Bedrooms:** The masia has 8 double bedrooms for 16-20 guests. All of the rooms have en suite bathrooms and stunning views. 9th bedroom available at extra charge.
- **Linen:** With our Eco policy, linen is changed only if absolutely necessary. Final cleaning is included as well as swimming pool towels.
- **Bathrooms:** All the bathrooms are en suite - 3 of them contain baths and all have showers. They are beautifully plastered in Moroccan tadelakt.
- **Children's Facilities:** There is a TV room, DVD, home cinema, pool with games, board games. 3 high chairs and 3 cots. Babysitting can also be arranged.
- **Outdoor:** Infinity pool, 20 hectare grounds and almond farm, outside dining space on terraces and patios. BBQ area, croquet lawn, garden furniture and hot tub.
- **Swimming Pool:** 5 x 8.5m infinity pool which is child safe (fenced) and no more than 150m in the deep end. The pool is next to the house with sun loungers and shades.
- **Parking:** Ample parking next to the house.
- **Smoking:** Strictly no smoking inside and only in designated areas outside.
