This recently restored 16th century farmhouse is a great budget option for all kinds of groups including extended families, friends, businesses, retreats, small weddings and celebrations. Mas Tortos is a spacious holiday house in northern Spain with beautiful outdoor spaces and an inside dining room fit for any occasion where everyone can sit down together. The location is fantastic for exploring the wonderful Costa Brava region and the Montseny Massif north of Barcelona.
Mas Tortos has a state of the art commercial kitchen with every modern appliance needed. It's perfect for preparing meals for everyone, or guests can fire up the barbecue outside and purchasing one of the barbecue packs sold by the owners for convenience. The large dining tables can double as a place for a business board meeting or presentation and there are areas for team building activities inside and out. A yoga or wellbeing retreat is a possibility with plenty of activity spaces available including the large lounge area and of course outside. There's no shortage of photo opportunities for wedding groups either.
Facilities at Mas Tortos will prove popular with a mixed age group who are bound to head for the small pool to cool off or for a family game of table football in the games room. The canopied dining area outside is perfect too for a morning coffee or a cool beer at sundown, enjoying the warmth of Catalan summer evenings. Accommodation is simple but comfortable, with shuttered windows and cool terracotta floors. The ground floor doubles and quad bunk rooms upstairs work well with all kinds of mixed age groups.
A range of activities are available nearby - including football golf, an Escape Room, laser combat. This is an area rich in opportunities for hikers and cyclists with several trails within 30 minutes of Mas Tortos. The castle at Palafolls is nearby as are other historic monuments in the surrounding towns. A lovely morning out is the weekly Sunday market at Tordora, the largest in the region and great for sourcing local ingredients. For the kids there are 2 water parks for a day out, Marineland and WaterWold Lloret. And Barcelona is readily accessible for a day out too.
