Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Masia de l'Avenc, Barcelona, Spain, sleeps 8-10 in 4 bedrooms.
La Masia de L'Avenc is a comfortable rural mansion on the cliffs of Tavertet that will take back in history and gives you a taste of Catalan farming life. It sleeps 10 people distributed in the following rooms:
'L'Escrivent' (2pax) room has a low king-sized double bed, hanging space for clothes, its own sitting room and en suite bathroom, and has a lovely quiet writing atmosphere ('escrivent' means the 'scribe'), a lovely view east to Girona and the coast and south-west over the Ter valley, of the Montseny range and the needles of Montserrat jutting up in the far distance. This room is for dreamers and enhances the creative side of those staying there. History would not exist without the scribes art. Dreamers can write and create other worlds and scenes. Feel inspired.
'El Segador' (2pax) room has a queen-sized double bed, shares lots of private hanging space for clothes with the next-door family duplex, with loads of room for your summer or winter outfits, has an en suite bathroom, and a beautiful view of the fields below and the Sau reservoir in the far distance. It is a room for 'doers' ('segador' means 'reaper'), the man who brought the bread to the table and is a no-nonsense active cheerful character, essential to the medieval economy of L'Avenc's past.
'La Pubilla' (2pax) is the main room with an en suite bathroom just off the dining room and has its very own sitting room. 'Pubilla' means 'Heiress', and is the noble room on the main floor with south-west views of the garden below. This is the room for those who watch over their domain, improving it day-by-day and help the world turn around.
'El Bisbe' (2-4pax) room is for a couple or small family in need of peace and gentle introspection. 'Bisbe' or 'Bishop' was the man born at l'Avenc, who brought fame (and some shameless conflicts with the neighbouring town of Manresa) to the family and has a stone bust and street named after him. This room has two floors and one shared bathroom: a double room upstairs in a quiet, cool atmosphere of solid medieval stone, and a downstairs room with twin beds.
