## About The Property

The Mendip Gate, a holiday house near Langford, is a great base for getting together with friends or family for a significant birthday celebration, girls weekend, a golfing break or fishing on nearby Chew and Blagdon Lakes. Also popular for small corporate groups looking for team building opportunities, with providers nearby and with meeting rooms available on site. The Mendip Hills, Bristol, Bath, Cheddar, Glastonbury and Wells, Blagdon and Chew Valley Lakes and local beaches are on the doorstep, as are great mountain bike trails and pub hikes. Bring your bikes and leave them on your vehicles in the gated car park.

Next to the fitted kitchen and utility is a large dining room with 14 seater table great for big party suppers and card games! The lounge has a wood burner (with unlimited fire wood in winter), large sofas and a TV with Sky, Netflix and Prime. For children there's a Playstation 4, board games, DVDs and books aplenty.

French doors lead to the private secluded courtyard with a 4-6 seater hot tub (optional rental for a fee, with towels and robes included).The large well maintained enclosed garden is a safe space for the kids to run around while the adults get the barbecue going. The outdoor table and charcoal bbq ( gas bbq optional extra ) and spectacular Mendip views make this an ideal spot for enjoying the afternoon sunshine and a relaxing cuppa. 

There are 6 bedrooms and the property sleeps 12-13 or 12 persons without having to share a bed. One of the bedrooms is accessible on the ground floor with basin and WC, and there are no steps from the parking at the front of the property, or throughout the ground floor. Further gated parking at rear.

There are 4 pubs in the village, 2 of them within 100yds and serving meals. The award winning Crown Inn is 600m away, and there's a 24hr shop for essentials.This part of Somerset is rich in visitor attractions for days out. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are nearby and a trip to the seaside only 25 minutes. There are seven golf courses within 10 miles Chew Valley lake is a pretty destination for circular walk and lots of wildlife. Bath is under an hour, a city with a varied history and plenty to see.

- 50% deposit. Refund for cancellations made within 24 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund of total for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days. Balance due 30 days. £500 damage deposit preauthorised.
