Mendip View is a fantastic space for friends, family and retreat groups seeking comfort and flexibility. With generous living areas, there's plenty of room for everyone to relax and connect. There are 2 bathrooms, a convenient downstairs toilet, and 5 bedrooms:
- 1 master bedroom with king-sized bed, ensuite shower room and private balcony overlooking the countryside
- 2 spacious twin/double rooms sharing a bathroom
- 2 cosy single bedrooms
This is a timber house with all modern conveniences, large rooms and plenty of windows to admire the views. The kitchen has a Rangemaster cooker and lots of space to enjoy meals and gather as a group. Eat together at the large antique dining table or unwind in one of 2 comfortable sitting rooms.
Set on a 16-acre converted farmstead near Glastonbury Tor, Middlewick is a peaceful countryside resort complete with café, spa and indoor heated pool. Surrounded by fields and orchards (with horses and sheep), this is Somerset at its best.
Guests can relax and rejuvenate in our Spa, where experienced therapists provide holistic facials, reflexology and massage in luxurious, converted shepherd’s hut treatment rooms. You can make a day of it with a spa package, enjoy our pool and steam room, and add breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea to your experience.
Middlewick is also a fantastic base from which to explore local attractions including Glastonbury Abbey, Chalice Well Gardens, and Avalon Marshes Nature Reserve. Take a scenic 20-minute walk through country lanes to Glastonbury town centre or hike up to the summit of Glastonbury Tor in just 30 minutes.
Every year, we welcome families, friends and facilitators hosting yoga, meditation and wellness retreats, women’s gatherings, tours, and corporate events. Our unique hexagonal timber-framed event space, nestled within our fields and in view of Glastonbury Tor, is ideal for workshops and group activities. Our café is open daily from 8:30am for breakfast and lunch, with evening catering available for retreat groups.
