Set in beautiful Sussex countryside Merrieweathers offers something truly special - a private pub just for your group. Whether you are celebrating a big birthday, reuniting with family, or planning a memorable weekend away, you can enjoy countryside walks, fishing, a game of tennis and a barbecue and then come together for drinks in the games barn in the evening.

The Stables has four en suite bedrooms, and the Hayloft two en suite bedrooms with two further open plan bedrooms. Located on a 50 acre estate in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Weald, East Sussex, the two properties together offer over 5,500 sq ft of accommodation.

The Stables were originally built in 1870 and retain many of the original features whilst also providing modern comforts such as underfloor heating and stunning en suite bathrooms to every bedroom.

Approached by a scenic half mile drive through woodland which opens out to wonderful views across the fields and the lake, the properties provide the perfect peaceful setting for a special celebration. There are an array of outdoor activities which can be enjoyed during your stay including a small lake for fishing or wild swimming, ball games on the lawn, tennis, walks, barbecues, table tennis and outdoor draughts. Extras such as clay pigeon shooting, yoga sessions, catering or (in July & August) use of swimming pool on the estate can all be arranged. 

The Great Hall is 50 ft long providing a fantastic entertaining space. It has a grand piano, sofa area with TV, dining area seating up to 18 and a 10 ft wide cinema screen with surround sound creating a home cinema experience. It is a beautiful room with oak beams, chandeliers and chestnut flooring. The underfloor heating keeps it warm in the winter months and during the summer months the French doors open out onto the courtyard.

Merrieweathers has its own private pub in a detached barn. The fully equipped bar has optics and beer pumps. You can order a keg or cask from a local brewery to be ready for drinking on arrival. Games include table football, poker table and pool table; plenty to keep the whole group entertained.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** We accept up to 2 dogs (£40 per dog)
- **Accessibility:** The Stables has bedrooms on the ground floor and walk in showers.
- **WiFi:** WiFi throughout. Limited mobile reception.
- **Swimming Pool:** Use of estate's outdoor heated pool, by arrangement only (additional cost applies). July & August (9 am- 6 pm).
- **Kitchen:** 2 oven AGA, 2 electric oven/hob, 2 dishwashers, fridge/freezer, drinks fridge, a microwave. Coffee filter machine, kettle, toaster.
- **Dining Room:** The Great Hall is a magnificent 50 ft room with chandeliers, impressive oak beams and chestnut flooring. Glass French doors open onto the courtyard.
- **Sitting Room:** A comfortable and bright sitting room with beautiful mahogany flooring and a large 65 inch TV screen. French doors open onto the terrace.
- **Games Room:** A detached barn with your own private pub! Optics and beer pumps, pool table, poker table and table football.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** TV in Great Hall/sitting room/hayloft sitting room/bedrooms 1, 3, 4. Cinema screen in Stables.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Underfloor heating throughout ground floor including Great Hall and ground floor bedrooms.
- **Bedrooms:** Bedroom 1:Superking + 2 Singles; 2: SuperKing (ziplinked) + Single; 3:King, 4:Double, 5:King, 6:Double 7: open plan mezzanine with 4 single beds.
- **Linen:** Bed linen (Egyptian cotton) is provided.
- **Bathrooms:** Six en suite: Bedroom 1: bath/walk in shower; 2: bath/shower; 3: Jacuzzi bath/shower; 4: shower rm; 5: wet room; 6: shower rm. Plus a sep shower room.
- **Children's Facilities:** 2 high chairs available. Childminding can be arranged.
