Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Mill End The General Stores, Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire, sleeps 10 - 40 in 17 bedrooms.

Mill End Mitcheldean is in a village location so has access to late shop and off licence. It has a private garden which is not overlooked but is in a village location so is not suitable for DJs/decks/PAs or outdoor music.
The Upper Malt House has large tables seating 40 (which can be set as two squares, two oblongs or 4 tables of 10), a sofa and a commercial, fully equipped kitchen with crockery/cutlery/glassware for 40+. The Lower Malt House has a second kitchen, cocktail bar and sofas for informal break out groups, which can be moved to face the large HDMi ready TV screen for presentations.
Creative corporate groups can self-cater, or Bordello Banquets can come in and serve tapas, refreshments, graze tables or buffets, or serve seated, themed dining provided by Bordello Banquets, along with artisan breakfast baskets or Full English Breakfast options with a Forest of Dean twist.
In house catering company Bordello Banquets also offers ‘come dine with me’, fresh pasta making, chocolate classes and/or outdoor pizza oven hire or campfire cooking BBQ, or bespoke bundles to suit your team. Team building classes can be offered too – either personal and business development related or fun, food or drink related.
Bedrooms are spread out over Upper & Lower Malt Houses, Upper & Lower Stores and George Cottage which is next door. Some are large rooms with en suites, though the majority are comfortable twin or bunk rooms, sharing bathrooms with not more than 4 or 5 per bathroom. It is a quirky house with themed bedrooms of differing quality and size, and the house is full of art, books, magazines and traditional toys & games.
In terms of relaxation there are hot tubs, an outdoor wood fired sauna cabin, a pizza oven and a fire pit. Indoors there is a pool table, a cocktail bar, a solid fuel stove for late night chatting, a spa space with massage couch, a steam sauna cabin and an infra red sauna cabin.

Yes - but downstairs of house only. Not on furniture, beds or in carpeted rooms. Large secure walled garden & plenty of walks nearby. £25 per dog.

Disabled Facilities

Not good, as grade 11 listed Medieval property with internal steps & changing levels. Downstairs double w en-suite but main dining is upstairs.

WiFi

Gigaclear fibre-optic installed for corporate/work needs. Boosters in diff parts of the house so make sure you have the right one! Good phone signal.

3 kitchens, all extensively equipped for large family and function catering, cocktail masterclasses or 'come dine with me' team building activities.

Dining Room

The barn dining area seats 40, with dramatic beams, graffiti art, gypsy sconces, chandeliers & open plan kitchen (1 of 3). It has equipment for 40+.

Sitting Room

2 sofas, solid fuel stove, pool table in oak/glass garden room. 5 sofas, 60" TV in sitting room. Sofa, TV in dining area. 2 sofas, TV in playroom.

TV and Music Facilities

60" TV hdmi + freeview in playroom. TV/DVD in sitting room. Small TV/DVD in dining room. iPod dock in dining room. TV/DVD in The Cottage.

Games Room

Leisure facilities - spa with 2 saunas, massage area. Sitting room and cocktail bar. Pool table in green oak and glass garden room.

Heating and Open Fires

Gas central heating. Electric towel rads in bathrooms. Solid fuel stove in garden room Open fire in The Cottage Fire pits, gas BBQ Logs provided.

17 rooms if Malt House, General Stores, Jovial Colliers & Cottage all hired: twins, doubles, family en suites, four poster with free-standing bath.

Linen

White cotton linen & towels provided. Feather duvets on all beds, with additional blankets & quilts. Non-feather spare bedding is available.

3 en suites. 10 bathrooms total. Never more than 2 bedrooms per bathroom other than The Cottage next door.

Children's Facilities

Toys 4 babies; books, DVDs, toys 4 toddlers; games, popcorn maker, pool table 4 teens. Hot tub, swings, sandpit, trampoline. Safe walled garden.

Outdoor

Rope ladder, swings, spiders web, tyre horse, sand pit, trampoline in lawn. BBQ area. Hot tub. Outdoor woodfired sauna cabin if hiring The Cottage.

Swimming Pool

2 hot tubs - main house & the Cottage. Outdoor wood fired sauna cabin if hiring the Cottage Can organise in house pamper treatments in the Spa Space

Off-street house parking - 8-12 cars - but tight so first in is last out. Extra parking - on road behind house (200m) or village car park (300m).

Smoking

Outside only - there are two outdoor wall mounted ashtrays, some seating & an ashtray under cover. No cig ends on floor or in flower beds please.
