Substantial listed property, beautifully furnished throughout, and set in 3 acres of land.

You will have exclusive use of this 16th century Devon long house which offers a variety of spaces to relax, including a lounge overlooking the stream and water garden, a snug, and a quiet reading room. There are also two dining rooms and a large upstairs lounge. Log burners throughout and large gardens laid to lawn with covered patio outdoor eating area and barbecue.

There are 7 double bedrooms, each with their own special character some with zip and link beds so they can be configured as double or twin. There is a well equipped guest pantry and coffee bar off the main hallway.

Please note all the bedrooms are on the first floor. There are 3 main staircases and a flight of stairs leading straight out from the 'granary' end into the garden across the stream.

It is both intimate and spacious with many original oak beams, a traditional farmhouse kitchen with Aga during colder winter months, and large oak tables for you to gather round for special meals.

There has been a house on this site since before 958 AD and it was once a 350 acre working farm. The house has retained its traditional feel whilst having all the modern conveniences you need for a comfortable stay.

This is a property ideal for gathering together friends and family, also groups of walkers or it would make a great place for corporate groups to use with its large rooms and breakout spaces. Mid week stays or long weekends are available to book - prices on request.

Choice of two dining rooms. The main one has an inglenook fireplace and oak tables/leather seats 14. The other is more contemporary and seats 12.

Sitting Room

Stone fire place with log burner, comfortable seating with sofa, chairs and views. Well appointed library. Adjacent servery/butler sink.

TV and Music Facilities

2 TV's and DVD player with large selection of DVDS. Also CD player available.

Games Room

There is no games room.

Heating and Open Fires

Central heating together with night store. Also 4 log burners.

Bedrooms

7 bedrooms, including 3 double and 4 zip/link can be configured as twin or super king. 6 bathrooms 4 of which are en suite.

Linen

Linen and hand towels provided. Please bring your own bath towels.

Bathrooms

In total 6 bathrooms - 4 of which are en suite. 2 additional downstairs cloakrooms.

Children's Facilities

1 cot and 2 travel cots, plus high chair available. Also a small slide and some outdoor games eg swing ball, skittles, large Jenga.

Outdoor

Barbecue and covered outdoor seating area with serving counter. Please be aware there is an unfenced leat very close to the house.

Swimming Pool

The nearest pool is in Tiverton, approx 10 minutes away.

On site parking for up to 20 cars.
