This beautifully restored 17th century traditional barn captures the best of rural living with a generous dash of comfort. Located  in a peaceful village close to the Peak District, this is the kind of place where you can truly unwind - think long walks, lazy afternoons in the garden and cosy evenings by the fire. Perfect for families or groups of friends, the barn sleeps up to 10 guests across 5 bedrooms offering the perfect blend of style, space, and home-from-home warmth.

Step inside and you’ll instantly feel at ease. The open plan kitchen is the heart of the house - bright, social, and designed for big gatherings. With plenty of seating, a fireplace, and sofas for lounging, conversation will flow as easily as the coffee. For quieter moments, head to the separate lounge, curl up on the sofas and light the second wood burner for that warm country glow. The dining room is ideal for celebratory meals, laughter and long evenings that stretch happily into the night.

Downstairs, there’s a spacious accessible bedroom with an en-suite wet room, ideal for less mobile guests and with direct access through French doors to the patio. Upstairs, the remaining four bedrooms are light, airy and beautifully finished, each with comfortable beds and thoughtful touches. A bunk room will be a hit with the children. With 3 full bathrooms and a handy downstairs WC, there’s plenty of facilities.

Outside, the enclosed garden is made for relaxation. Enjoy a morning coffee on the patio, fire up the barbecue on a sunny afternoon, or unwind with a drink as the sun sets over the surrounding fields. There’s parking for 5 cars and an EV charger.

Step beyond the gate and you’ll find yourself surrounded by scenic footpaths, rolling countryside and woodland trails. Within walking distance are 4 good pubs, 2 cafes and shops, everything you need for a true taste of local life. And when you’re ready to explore, Matlock and Bakewell are a short drive away. Also close to Chatsworth house, Crichton tramway museum, Richard Arkwright mill world UNESCO site.

- 50% deposit on booking, remaining 50% payable 6 weeks prior to your stay.

- 3 of the bedrooms are super king and can be split into 2 singles (bedroom 1, 2 & 5). Please advise how you would like these beds setting up as far in advance as possible (at least a week in advance). Failure to do so will result in all beds being made up as super kings.
