County Wicklow is the pretty rural location for this group of 6 courtyard holiday cottages - a fantastic venue for a variety of group types including 3 generational families, friends, corporate teams, for retreats and keen golfers. Stay for a weekend or for a longer break, and bring your well behaved dogs too. Minmore Mews is just an hour from Dublin, and easy to reach.
The cottages are arranged around a courtyard, a range of traditional granite stone buildings, all cosy and comfortable and with panoramic views. There's a barbecue and picnic area for gathering the whole group together for supper, and extensive gardens with lawns ideal for retreat activities such as yoga or corporate teambuilding exercises, or for a family rounders match. The games room is a great space for the youngsters to get together and let off steam over a game of pool or table football.
3 of the cottages have upside down living arrangements, with a first floor open plan lounge kitchen diner capitalising on those views. 2 cottages are single storey, handy for anyone in the group who is less mobile. Lounges have ample sofa seating, TVs and there is a wood burner in the largest cottage. Kitchens are fully equipped and there's a separate communal laundry on site for convenience.
Flexible bedrooms are set up as doubles or twins, with a triple room in The Lodge ideal for a young family. Most have en suites and there are also plenty of shared bathrooms to avoid morning shower queues.
There's a number of top class golf courses available, including Coollattin Golf Club just outside Shillelagh. In fact, there are 11 courses with 18 holes nearby, so keen golfers will be spoilt for choice. Rathgall Hillfort, Aghowle Medieval Church, and the Olde Shillelagh Stick Maker are popular spots to explore, or head to the Wicklow Way for self guided walking trails.
