Welcome to our tranquil outdoor centre and bunkhouse, nestled in the heart of the New Forest near Lyndhurst. Surrounded by 7 acres of serene meadows, woodlands, and wildlife, this is a peaceful haven for groups seeking connection with nature, with each other, and with a slower pace of life.

Our space is ideal for respectful groups such as family gatherings, yoga or wellness retreats, creative workshops, and spiritual or educational getaways. We kindly ask that guests looking for a party venue look elsewhere, this is a place for calm, not chaos.

The Space
Our timber-framed bunkhouse, built in 2005, offers warm and welcoming accommodation year-round, with underfloor heating and a large log-burning stove. It includes:

· Two spacious dormitories with adjoining bathrooms

· Two en-suite twin rooms

· A central social space with comfy seating, Wi-Fi, TV/DVD, and a small kitchenette

· Boot rooms for outdoor gear

Next door, the original Victorian schoolhouse features:

· A professionally equipped kitchen

· A dining room

· A large classroom space for workshops, presentations, or extra dining

The Grounds
Step outside into 7 acres of peaceful, wildlife-rich grounds. Wander through woodlands, relax by the ponds, visit the friendly sheep, or gather in the roundhouse. Our vegetable garden and meadows offer a true taste of rural life.

Located in the charming village of Minstead, with its historic church, cozy pub, and village store, you’re also just steps away from the vast open landscapes of the New Forest National Park. It’s a paradise for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers.

Important to Note
To preserve the peaceful nature of our site and respect our neighbours, we do not allow parties or outdoor music. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7:30am, and we ask all guests to help us maintain the calm, restorative atmosphere that makes this place so special.

You’ll have exclusive access to the entire site during your stay.

Parking
On-site parking for 8 cars, with additional space outside the gates and in the field (summer only). EV charging available.

Accessibility

The accommodation is accessible via ramp, and one of the showers allows wheelchair access. Please note, the site is sloped and muddy in places.

WiFi

WiFi covers both buildings and mobile signal is very good on all networks.

Kitchen

Professionally equipped commercial kitchen with large oven, hot cupboard, 6 gas hobs, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer.

Dining Room

The small dining room provides enough space for up to 20 visitors.

Sitting Room

The accommodation block has a central social space, with gorgeous log burner, with seating on chairs and beanbags for around 20 people.

TV and Music Facilities

The social room has a 42inch TV with Amazon firestick, and DVD player.

Games Room

No games room though there is loads of space outdoors for outdoor play.

Heating and Open Fires

The accommodation block is underfloor heated and remains warm throughout the year. In addition the central social space has a large log burner.

Bedrooms

2 large bunk bedded dormitories, with adjoining shower and toilet factifies. 2 additional en-suite twin rooms in dormitory building.

Linen

Provided, including duvets and pillows (but no towels).

Bathrooms

Dorms have adjoining washrooms, each with 3 separate showers, sinks, toilets. Twin rooms have en-suite toilet and shower. Additional loos elsewhere.

Children's Facilities

7 acres of fabulous garden to explore, let off steam, clamber, hide, play, invent and make dens! And 3 very friendly sheep.

Outdoor

The 7 acre site contains woods, meadows, sheep field (with sheep!), roundhouse, ponds and vegetable garden. BBQ and campfire facilities available.

Swimming Pool

None on site. Excellent swimming pool nearby in Romsey.

Parking

On site space for up to 8 cars; 8 spaces outside gate. Field also available for 15 cars during the summer only. EV charging available.

Smoking

Outside gates only please.

Booking Information

Standard rate covers up to 20 guests for £650 per night.

Additional twin rooms in the Victorian building are available at an extra cost.

Location

Very easily accessible, being only 10 minutes from the A31 and M27. Located on a very quiet lane on the edge of the village of Minstead in the heart of the New Forest.

Lyndhurst (small town - approx 3 miles), Southampton (city - approx 14 miles).
Minstead community stores - 200 metre walk.Nearest large supermarket is Morrisons in Totton - 8 miles.
The Trusty Servant is around 200 metres walk, up a small footpath. This is a large New Forest pub, and offers excellent food and a great atmosphere.
Southampton - 14 miles.
Brockenhurst (mainline station) - 8 miles. Very frequent trains to London Waterloo.
300 metres to village Centre - though buses to Minstead are few and far between!
