## About The Property

The Moorings is a stylish, comfortable house which sleeps up to 12 people in 6 bedrooms in the heart of the picturesque, hugely popular coastal town of Whitby. It offers a great base for families or groups of friends wishing to celebrate a special event or birthday or just get together for a seaside holiday. Please note the house is not suitable for 'stag' or 'hen' groups.

There are 6 double bedrooms sleeping up to 12 people with 3 doubles and 3 twin bedded rooms and 4 bathrooms (one of which is en suite). The house has its own private parking area for 3 cars directly opposite the house (a luxury in central Whitby) and further on street parking permits can be supplied on request.

The kitchen is large, modern and well equipped with a table and chairs which seat up to 12 people. There are 2 ground floor sitting rooms with ample sofa seating and 2 large flat screen TVs, X Box, DVD player and a Sky Sports package. Outside there is an attractive patio garden with garden table, chairs and bench and a barbecue.

Whitby is an historic fishing town dominated by the cliff top ruins of its 12th century Abbey and famous for its connections with Captain Cook and Dracula. There are many good restaurants and numerous very good fish and chips shops including the celebrated Magpie Cafe. There is a good golf course on the cliffs between Sandsend and Whitby. Further to the south is Robin Hoods Bay and the lovely Victorian seaside town of Scarborough (home to the Stephen Joseph Theatre where Alan Ayckbourn premieres all his plays). The town is on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park and is a starting point for the North York Moors Railway.

We welcome up to 2 dogs by prior arrangement for a small charge.

- **TV and Music Facilities:** 3 flatscreen TVs (one with Sky Sports and two with freeview), 2 DVD players, X Box with games, DAB iPod dock/micro Hifi.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Gas central heating throughout and electric fire in sitting room.
- **Bedrooms:** 1st Floor: 2 double bedrooms (one of which is en suite) and 2 twin rooms.
2nd Floor: 1 double bedroom (superking 4 poster) and 1 twin room.
- **Linen:** All bed linen supplied (Egyptian cotton sheets). Bath and hand towels supplied.
- **Bathrooms:** 1st floor: 1 en suite shower room, 1 family bathroom with bath and separate shower.
2nd floor: 1 shower room.
Ground floor: 1 shower room.
- **Children's Facilities:** Cot and high chair available. Board games. Selection of children's games and toys, XBox with games.
- **Outdoor:** Small outside patio garden with table and chairs, bench seat and barbecue.
- **Parking:** Private parking area suitable for up to 3 vehicles.
- **Smoking:** No smoking inside the property please.

## Booking Information

- Changeover is Friday for 7 night bookings (Fri/Mon for 3 or 4 night bookings). NB: we do not accept 2 night bookings. Booking Deposit £200 . Balance plus refundable security deposit of £100 payable 2 calendar months before stay. Additional charge for dogs (max 2): £35 per animal per stay.  Please contact the owner for a confirmed quote.
