Moulin de Maulne is the perfect place for your family and friends to gather for a holiday together, or to celebrate a special occasion. Offered on a self catering basis, although half and full board options are available on request, with a range of menu options to suit all budgets. Meals are prepared by the owners using fresh produce from local producers and/or seasonal products from the garden. We can provide details of good local caterers. The main house has spacious living accommodation, with a large dining room comfortably sitting up to 30 people, a bar area, an airy lounge and a big farmhouse kitchen. There are a total of 11 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, including 2 studio houses each offering a double en suite bedroom and living area. The studios are attached to the main building but have their own access, and are only let with the main house. Outside, there's a walled terrasse with 18x10 ft motorised awning and outdoor furniture that comfortably sits up to 30 people, as well as 4 other patios. In the landscaped garden there's a shaded barbecue area with tables and benches for al fresco dining, and a play area with a table tennis table. The heated swimming pool is open from May until mid October and is surrounded by a stone terrace of 100 m2 and screened by an impressive selection of ornamental grasses. The estate at Moulin de Maulne has a private river with trout and crayfish too. The Loire Valley is renowned for the wines it produces, and we can recommend vineyards for a visit and tasting experience. There are also plenty of great local restaurants and regular markets to explore. The region is also known for its beautiful chateaux, many with exceptional gardens. And the Loire river itself offers boat trips and canoeing, an opportunity to enjoy this special region from the water.
