This is a dream location, Mount Vernon is a beach front holiday house in County Clare overlooking stunning views of Galway Bay and the Cliffs of Aughinish. All that lies between the house and the sea is a beautiful wildflower meadow. It really doesn't get much more perfect. Groups of friends and multi generation families will love coming here to celebrate a special birthday or to enjoy an idyllic holiday literally on the sea front. There are walks from the door to take in the incredible natural landscape of the Flaggy Shore.
Mount Vernon has an interesting history and retains many original features including high ceilings, cornices and sash windows while offering comfortable accommodation with all mod cons. A range cooker in the farmhouse kitchen is great for preparing group meals and the formal dining area a fantastic space to enjoy suppers together. Use the smaller table and island in the kitchen for breakfast or enjoy a barbecue on the terrace in the gorgeous walled garden admiring the Monterey Cypress trees and herbaceous borders. The sitting room with squashy sofas and a roaring open fire is the place to retire to after dinner for a night cap, surrounded by stunning period furniture and lots of books from the library. On a nice evening, sit outside next to the firepit and listen to the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore sharing a bottle of wine or a drink from the bar.

The Cliffs of Moher are definitely worth the 50 minute drive to witness spectacular rugged coastal formations described as the 8th Wonder of the World. Kinvarra is a pretty fishing village known for artisan shops and cute cafes.
