## About The Property

This luxurious holiday house in Willaura, at the foothills of the Grampians National Park, has a rich history with connections to horse racing and polos, and has hosted many guests and dignitaries since 1842. Today, the Homestead at Mount William Station oozes old world charm, with beautiful interiors creating a peaceful environment for a family holiday or in which to celebrate a special occasion.

Sleeping 20 in total, with 7 bedrooms and 6 additional rollaway beds, each spacious bedroom has en suite facilities. Inviting sitting rooms, a TV room and a formal dining room offer elegance and space in which to unwind.

The extensive grounds include an outdoor swimming pool, dry sauna and tennis court - plenty to entertain all members of your group. Wander through the English garden or relax on the 5 acres of lawn - a vast space for a marquee for an event, a wonderful setting for drinks, or even lawn games and a few holes of golf.

The Homestead is available on a self catering basis. Catering packages are available for your stay, with breakfast and dinner provided and lunch available on request. Produce is locally sourced, some from the farm's gardens, with wines from Western Victoria paired with the gourmet, farm-to-table fare.

For a special occasion, the Bluestone Stables offer a private dining venue seating up to 150 guests, with a bar, and with courtyard space to take your event outside. This fabulous event space can be used for a formal dinner or a party, a wedding celebration or family get together - and everything in between.

At the Homestead at Mount William Station, the welcome is warm and genuine - a special place for gathering together family and friends.

Getting here by car: Just a three hour drive from Melbourne city centre, Mount William Station is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. Taking the National Highway M8 through Ballarat and Ararat, the drive will take you to the foothill of the Grampians National Park to our welcoming Homestead.

Getting here by helicopter: From Melbourne, it’s a cruisy 40 minutes to Mount William Station via helicopter. To use our helicopter landing pad, please pre-arrange your arrival with us.

Getting here by train: Getting to Mount William Station from Melbourne via train takes approximately three hours. There is a direct V/Line train from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station to Ararat Station four times a day on Mondays through Friday, and three times a day on the weekends. For private transfers from Ararat to Mount William Station, please get in touch.
