## About The Property

Munro's is situated on the Isle of Bute, just 1.5 hrs from Glasgow by train/car and ferry (32 miles if you're a crow!). The island is the perfect getaway location for relaxation, walks on beaches, cycling on quiet roads or visits to historic locations. Please note that we are unable to accept hen and stag groups.

The wonderful Mount Stuart house, where Stella McCartney was married, is well worth a visit. If you enjoy golf there are are 3 courses on the island and fly fishing for rainbow and brown trout is available for enthusiasts.

The house is a perfect location for a family or group of friends to relax and enjoy each other's company. Comfortably furnished and with original features, there is plenty of space for socialising and private areas for relaxing! We also have a cosy cinema room with a selection of DVDs.

The kitchen is a lovely space for socialising with a log burner in the centre and a 12 seater table at one end.

There are 8 bedrooms, 7 of which are kings or doubles and have en suite bathrooms. 4 rooms can be configured as twin beds. 1 of the rooms has bunk beds and would be perfect for kids/teenagers. There is a downstairs loo.

The laundry room has a stainless steel sink, washing machine and a dryer. There’s an iron, ironing board and a clothes airer.

Outside, there is plenty of parking (for 4-6 cars) a large decked area to sit and take in the view. The 1 acre sloping garden is great for hide and seek and we have a goldfish pond.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Up to 2 well-behaved dogs accepted. Please do not allow them on beds/furniture. Please and bring their own bedding.
- **Accessibility:** One ground floor bedroom has wheelchair friendly access and grab handles in the wet room bathroom. We have ramps for the main door entrance.
- **WiFi:** There is free cable broadband WiFi and mobile phone reception and 4G is good on all networks.
- **Kitchen:** The kitchen is large and well equipped with a 6 gas burner/double electric oven stove, a large fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
- **Dining Room:** We have a conservatory with table seating for up to 16 plus the kitchen has a large dining table that will seat 12.
- **Sitting Room:** The living room has 2 large sofas, 1 small sofa, plus padded stools and chairs. There is a large book collection and a lovely warm wood burner.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** TV room equipped DVD player, TV plus numerous DVDs. It's a perfect rainy day haven for kids (and adults!).
- **Heating and Open Fires:** The house has central heating plus 2 wood burning stoves, one in the living room and one in the kitchen/dining room.
- **Bedrooms:** 8 bedrooms (7 en suite) - 3 kingsize (or twin), 4 doubles, 1 with bunk beds. One room also has a sofa bed.
- **Linen:** Quality linen provided with duvets and pillows plus plenty of bath and hand towels.
- **Bathrooms:** 7 en suite bathrooms, 2 with baths. One en suite has a wet room style shower and there is a cloakroom loo in the hall.
- **Children's Facilities:** A high chair available. There are several boxes with toys.
- **Outdoor:** 1 acre of sloping garden with lawns. Our deck has contemporary patio chairs and a table. Barbecue available.
- **Parking:** Car park for up to 6 cars.
- **Smoking:** The interior of the house is a strictly no smoking zone.

Bute is only 1.5 hours from Glasgow by train or car from the city. The main Calmac ferry from Wemyss Bay takes 35 mins and there is access to Argyll on a 4 min ferry from the north end of the island.
