Set in the beautiful Purbeck countryside, not far from the Jurassic Coast, the MYTime Outdoor Centre (formerly known as David Donald Field Studies Base) is the ideal location for school groups, looking to move away from norm.
This converted World War 2 Radar Station offers self-catering accommodation on a single level for groups up to 24 (30 with the camping facility). The property is split into 4 rooms: one dormitory sleeping 10; one dormitory sleeping 8 and 2 leaders rooms sleeping 2 and 4 (one en-suite), and is fully wheelchair accessible.
Offering a drying room and real wood burner for those colder evenings, it is a great place for field studies and to work on basic skills, including team building or project work, as well as offering the opportunity for people to investigate and learn about the surrounding area: the history of Corfe Castle, the amazing coastline geology, the marine wildlife, or just learn new sports through many of the various activities available locally, from walking and orienteering to kite surfing, wind-surfing and various other water sports.
With plenty of attractions in the area there is always something to build a project on or learn about.
