Bourton-on-the-Water is a gorgeous medieval village that embodies the charm of the Cotswolds. Warm honey stone buildings house shops, boutiques and pubs, facing a village green and the meandering River Windrush. It is picture-perfect and only a two-minute stroll from the door of Naight Cottage.
Naight Cottage is a meticulously maintained family home on a quiet residential street. The open-plan living area, dining space and kitchen suit families and facilitate relaxed chatting as you catch up with friends. The well-equipped kitchen features a classic AGA range with plenty of space for preparing meals and storing groceries. There’s also a snug with a TV and games and doors opening into the garden.
Upstairs are 5 bedrooms. 3 are spacious doubles (two en suite), and 2 have a single bed (one with a trundle beds). There's also a sofa bed in the living room. There are two full bathrooms with bath and shower facilities.
While Bourton-on-the-Water is lovely to visit, it’s even nicer after the day-trippers have left and you have it to yourself. The children and dogs can paddle in the water, and you can relax over a drink or a meal in a riverside pub or cafe.
The Cotswolds is renowned for the quality of its footpaths and cycling routes. Enjoy scenic walks and bike rides from the door, or jump in the car or bus to shop and sightsee in Cheltenham, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh.
