Spectacular manor holiday house near Chipping Sodbury in the Cotswolds sleeping 10, ideal for celebrating special occasions with family and friends
Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. National Trust - Horton Court, Gloucestershire, sleeps 5 - 10 in 5 bedrooms.
Sorry, no hen or stag groups at this property.
History is everywhere in this truly breathtaking holiday house, and you'll feel it as soon as you park up with your friends. From the intricate wood panelling and ceiling moulds, to the stunning kitchen, it's definitely a place for a special stay; whether you're gathering family or friends, for a birthday or a reunion, Horton Court is sure to dazzle.
Recently luxuriously restored by the National Trust, the spectacular results will make your group all feel like lords and ladies of the manor. TV buffs will possibly recognise the house from its roles in both Wolf Hall and Poldark. Step through the wooden front door into the entrance hall and you'll be greeting by a carved griffin sitting on the post at the bottom of the stairs with the downstairs rooms stretching out in front of you. The bespoke kitchen has a table big enough to comfortably sit everyone, but there's a suitably formal wood panelled dining room as well if you fancied dressing up for dinner. The incredible sitting room has more than enough room for everyone, and there's a separate snug as well.
Upstairs the glorious bedrooms and bathrooms are every bit the sanctuary you'd hope for, with plush furnishings that seamlessly blend contemporary comfort and style with wonderful period features.
Outside this stunning manor house there's a small and very sheltered internal courtyard set with wooden tables and chairs and easily accessed from the snug. There's also an absolutely huge garden, mainly laid to lawn with a lake as well as more tables and chairs to seat the whole group together for al-fresco lunches.
Horton Court is close to both Bath and Bristol for city escapades, but you and your group can also head into the glorious Cotswolds to explore well-known villages including Broadway and Burford, or visit other National Trust houses in the area including Dyrham Park, Newark Park and Tyntesfield.
