The property features a spacious well equipped farmhouse kitchen with fridge freezer, range oven, dishwasher, washer dryer and dining for up to 22. There are exposed beams and original stone walls and oak flooring throughout. The sitting room has a wood burner and door to garden. Stunning views, oak beams, TV with Freeview, DVD and radio/CD.

A second cottage, The Pig House, is available sleeping 6, with 2 en suite double bedrooms and a bedroom over looking the living area with a double bed. An all glass gable end provides stunning views over Weardale.

On a working farm where visitors can explore the local footpaths and the surrounding walking country, whist just a mile away is the delightful village of Wolsingham with its cafes, pubs and shops. Pony trekking is available in nearby Hamsterley Forest and a nostalgic steam train ride on the Weardale railway offers an ideal way to enjoy the local landscape.

The historic city of Durham, only 17 miles away, is well worth visiting for its Norman Castle, magnificent cathedral and river boat trips,whilst in happy contrast, cosmopolitan Newcastle for excellent shopping and fascinating architecture is a 24 mile drive, while those who wish to shop till they drop the Metro Centre is at Gateshead which will provide everything you need.

Beamish Living History Museum, Barnard Castle and Kilhope Lead Mining Centre are among the attractions nearby. Enquire about other local attractions. Hadrian's Wall with its Roman forts and spectacular views of the Northumberland's moors is within an hour's drive. Shops and pubs serving food 1 mile.
