## About The Property

Based in Shap in the Eden Valley, on the edge of the Lake District National Park, the Howgills and the Pennine Fells, New Ing Lodge offers comfort at an affordable price.

New Ing Lodge is ideal for large groups of people interested in walking, cycling, outdoor activities or simply a group of people that are looking for a peaceful retreat. The Lodge itself can accommodate parties of up to 30 people or add on the additional 3 newly renovated barn apartments to sleep up to 37 (the main house can be booked without the apartments as the apartments are completely separate to the main house and garden). We welcome family and friend gatherings as well as school or work trips but unfortunately do not allow stag or hen groups or partiess that are planing on playing loud music. 

The Lodge has 11 bedrooms, 10 of which are doubles, twins or family rooms, made up with crisp white linens. The other is a bunk room with 2 x bunk beds. We have room to seat 24 in the dining room plus another 6 at the table in the kitchen. The 3 barn apartments can be booked along side the main house (or separately) and all have 1 bedroom each.

With a large garden to the rear of the property, including a fire pit and BBQ area, a sauna and hot tub (which can be hired as an extra) and a children's play park. We also have an on-site bar in which we can supply you with barrels of beer so that you can pull your own pints and act the landlord behind your own bar for your stay!

Only 5 minutes from junction 39 on the M6, we are in a very handy location for those coming from all parts of the country.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Dogs are permitted.
- **Accessibility:** The rear entrance to New Ing Lodge is flat, wide shallow stepped stairs to first floor with large landing half way up. All bedrooms on 1st/2nd floors.
- **Hot Tub:** We have a hot tub and a sauna in the garden by the fire pit.
- **WiFi:** Free WiFi.
- **Kitchen:** Our kitchen has 2 large fridges, 5 ring gas cooker, 2 large ovens, plenty of pots and pans, and kitchen utensils, microwave and storage.
- **Dining Room:** Sits 24 at one time there is also space in the bar and kitchen to seat extra people. There is plenty of cutlery, cups and glasses.
- **Sitting Room:** Space for up to 12 with the dining room attached. Large wood burning stove, TV with DVD player and board games. Seating in bar area for more people.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There is a TV in the sitting room. Small Bose speakers are supplied, please do not bring large speakers as we do not allow very loud music on site.
- **Games Room:** Games room in the attic has a table tennis table, various games as well as a projector and screen for a movie night!
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Seasoned timber is supplied for the wood burning stove in the living room. Biomass central heating system runs all hot water and heating hassle free.
- **Bedrooms:** We have 11 rooms in total: doubles, twins, family rooms, and a bunk room.
- **Linen:** Linen and towels provided.
- **Bathrooms:** ALl rooms have either an en suite bathroom or their own private bathroom next door.
- **Children's Facilities:** We have 1 high chair and 1 travel cot available.
- **Outdoor:** Large garden to the rear of the house, includes a fire pit area, BBQ area and undercover seating. Also has a children's play park, hot tub and sauna.
- **Swimming Pool:** Shap Village is home to England's highest open air swimming pool - only a 5 minute walk from the door. Open May to September.
- **Parking:** On site parking for 10 vehicles. Extra parking on main road available.
- **Smoking:** No smoking inside the building.
