These 16th century traditional cottages, set on a working farm specialising in unusual breeds of sheep, provide an ideal base for all group holidays, including friends and families, informal corporate events, birthday and hen party weekends and celebrations. Perfect for 3 generations, the properties offer great accommodation to suit everyone including those less mobile family members, and your dogs (maximum of 2) can come too.
There is so much on offer in the area, with fantastic canoeing and fishing on the River Wye along with opportunities to explore small bustling towns such as Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth as well as remarkable Symonds Yat. Bird watchers, walkers and artists are also drawn to this area which is rich in wildlife, and there's fishing too. In close proximity to important road routes and near the Forest of Dean and Brecon Beacons too, this location is popular for group gatherings and weekends away.
The Newcourt Farm cottages have been beautifully renovated to create great spaces while retaining plenty of the original features such as stone walls and exposed beams. Foxcote boasts a proper farmhouse kitchen, perfect for preparing food before sitting down in the adjoining open plan dining room for a celebratory meal together, with a group of 17 able to be seated at one time using 2 tables. The enclosed mature garden also offers somewhere for everyone to dine al fresco on warmer evenings, maybe for a barbecue. There is no shortage of places to sit and chat inside both properties. As well as the spacious living areas, the grand hallway of Foxcote has extra seating overlooking breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
There's a convenient mix of doubles, twins and single bedrooms to suit all group types, with Glen Cottage ideal for those for whom privacy is a must. Both cottages are comfortable and tastefully decorated, with light and airy places to relax and enjoy, and Foxcote also has wheelchair accessible extra wide doorways. There are ample bathroom facilities throughout both cottages, including 2 en suites on the ground floor for the comfort of all guests.
