Newton Hall enjoys a great setting with fantastic views over Loch Fyne and the mountains of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. This is a large family holiday house in Inveraray, perfect for multi-generational families and groups of friends getting together for a holiday or a big birthday celebration. Sorry - no stags, hens or similar parties.

This beautifully renovated church is full of lovely arched windows showing off the stunning backdrop, and with spacious living accommodation. The open plan dining living area has a fabulous long table made for eating together, and comfy sofas with window seats. The kitchen is very well set up for group cooking with high end appliances and a range cooker with 2 ovens. A highlight is the luxury hot tub situated on the rear patio, indulgent by day or at night when you can stargaze while sipping a wee dram from a nearby distillery.

The 9 bedrooms make use of zip and links to offer a combination of super kings, kings or twins, individually designed rooms with stylish soft furnishings and more good views. The family suite is ideal for a couple with kids, offering 2 adjoining bedrooms with a super king, and 2 singles and an en suite. Contemporary facilities are plentiful, 3 with bath and showers over including a luxury Jacuzzi bath, and 2 separate shower rooms. 2 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, suitable for anyone in the group who may not want to climb the stairs although please bear in mind that there are a few other steps throughout the property.

For enthusiastic walkers and cyclists, this is an area rich in trails and routes for discovering the amazing countryside. Only a short drive from Newton Hall outdoor pursuits including wild swimming and climbing are available; you can scale summits including The Cobbler, Clach Bheinn and The Brack. Other local attractions are Dun Na Cuaiche, Dunderave Castle and Ardkinglas Woodland Garden, or take a tour of Inveraray Jail and the Bell Tower. Newton Hall is also only an hour and a half from Glasgow making it a convenient place to meet up for those living in mid Scotland.

Newton Hall is close to Inveraray which offers a small supermarket and a pub within walking distance. Newton Hall is dog friendly.

Changeover day is Friday. Check in from 4pm and check out by 10am. No stags or hens please. Hot tub hours between 9am and 9.30pm. If booking over Christmas or New Year, please note bookings must extend to 27th Dec or 2nd Jan respectively.

Location

Located on the shores of Loch Fyne in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. On the outskirts of Inveraray, within easy walking of all local amenities, and an hour from Oban. Glasgow 1 hour 30 minutes, Fort William 1 hour 45 minutes, Edinburgh 2 hours 30 minutes.

Directions: coming from the South/Glasgow – Take the A82 North, as you drive through Tarbet, the road becomes the A83 (towards Campbeltown). Stay on the A83 until you reach Inveraray.  Coming from the East, take the A85 from Perth (or the A84 from Stirling): at Crianlarich, take the A82 towards Ft.William / Oban; at Tyndrum, take a left onto the A85, towards Oban. Just after Dalmally, take the A819 SW towards Inveraray.
Once in Inveraray, drive through the centre of town; pass a Renault garage on your right and Newton Hall is approx. 300 metres on the right; There is no parking at the front of the building, so drive past the front of the building, taking the next right turn up Barn Brae. Turn right onto The Avenue and continue until you see the Newton Hall carpark, at the rear of the building.
