Large, enclosed, private gardens and patios with parking for 10 cars make this holiday house near Bath and Bristol ideal for hosting your group get together. We are happy to host hen parties and celebrations, and the house is also well suited to family holidays and reunions. Oak Barn offers spacious accommodation over 5 well proportioned bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with underfloor heating and heated towel rails. A large oak framed sitting room has a log burning fire, and there's a well stocked kitchen with dining area seating 16, perfect for your group gathering. Chew Magna is a 5 minute walk away and has much to offer in terms of pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. Scenic walks and cycle routes from the doorstep offer gorgeous Chew Valley scenery, including the stone circle at Stanton Drew. Alternatively you can venture further afield into Bath or Bristol, a short drive from Oak Barn. 20 minutes to Bristol, 30 minutes to Bath by car. We are dog friendly and have fantastic walks on the doorstep and a several pubs in the village that welcome your furry friends! Chew Valley Lake, an important site for wildlife and a Site of Special scientific Interest, is located nearby. It has two nature trails with indigenous and migrant water birds and is a national centre for bird watching, with over 260 species recorded, including some unusual sightings. Take a wonderful countryside walk over fields and streams (4.1 miles) or a 12 minute drive. Around the lake you will find Salt and Malt fish and chip restaurant and takeaway. Minibus and taxi contacts available. We can help with suggestions of all types of local group activities, including recommendations for fun activities for hen parties. These include cocktail making, pottery workshops, winetasting at our local vineyard, paddle boarding and lots more.  ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** We will accept dogs by prior request at a cost of £30 per dog per stay. - **Accessibility:** Please note, there are a number of steps up and down on the ground floor and therefore not accessible for wheelchairs or those with limited mobility. - **WiFi:** Fast WiFi available free. - **Parking:** Free parking for 10 cars. - **Bedrooms:** Ground floor: 3 zip link superking or twin rooms, 2 with an extra single, 1 with 2 singles. The balance and refundable £300 security deposit (normally returned the Wednesday following your stay) are due 8 weeks prior to your stay. - - Check in from 4pm and check out at 10am.
