This stunning house at Oakhampton Park is set within acres of parkland with an exquisite 16th century walled garden, crisscrossing footpaths and access to a Somerset conservation area just a short drive away. The house and estate also works well for small corporate groups, offering great facilities and plenty of rooms and space for team building activities. The 50 ft swimming pool and sauna are likely to be a big hit with a mixed gathering, as is the snooker room, gym and outside games on offer. Oakhampton Park is also dog friendly.
Oakhampton Park has fantastic luxury living rooms just made for socialising. The 30 foot dining room has a bespoke elm table which seats up to 24 guests to enjoy a meal prepared in the very well equipped kitchen. Take coffee after dinner in the 40 foot drawing room, relaxing on sumptuous sofas next to a glorious open fire. The TV lounge also has an open fire with more seating to watch Sky TV, popular with the youngsters or anyone wanting to catch a big football or rugby match. The main entrance hall is a lovely spot and works for a drinks reception at a corporate event.
12 double bedrooms provide luxury and spacious accommodation, with en suites and private bathrooms. Stable Room has a hand carved oak 4 poster and its own west facing terrace through French doors. 2 of the rooms are separate from the main house and offer parking directly outside which particularly works well for anyone less mobile.

There are plenty of areas to sit back and chill outside of the house on south facing terraces, one catching the morning sun and the other the afternoon sun, lovely for morning coffee or an afternoon Pimms. Wander around the grounds and take in The Quarry and its native orchid population, or try a game of croquet on the stunning lawns of the walled garden adjacent to the orangery. Oakhampton Park also has its own designated shooting area with a professional remote firing Pro-matic clay trap which can be used by anyone with a licence. Tuition can be arranged, a good team building event for a business group.
While staying at Oakhampton Park, pop into Wiveliscombe, a thriving little town with plenty of independent shops and cafes. The Quantock Hills and Exmoor are also within easy reach for keen walkers, cyclists or pony trekkers looking to enjoy the outdoors with a country pub stop off afterwards. The West Somerset Steam Railway is definitely worth a look, the longest steam railway in England. The coastal path is only 25 minutes away as are beaches including Watchet and Minehead.
