Oakland West is perfect for business awaydays, corporate meetings, multiple day conferences and team bonding. Oakland West provides a number of facilities that well balance work and relaxation. Access is simple with parking for up to 8 cars (including 1 EV charger) and Windermere Train and Bus Station are a short 5-10 minute walk from the house. 

The kitchen benefits from all the mod cons to make self-catering easy, as well as 2 dishwashers to make light work of the washing up. The large twin fan assisted oven and 7 ring gas hob means catering for 14 guests is an enjoyable task, and the 2 American style fridge-freezers makes for plenty of space to store those mid-day refreshments. 

There’s a large table seating up to 14, with TV and access to Bose speaker system. By night, this is also the ideal space for winding down and enjoying time with your team.

When it comes to breaking up the day, there’s a cosy, library-style snug for up to 7 guests, or a large living room with bespoke leather seating for 14 – all set around the feature wood burning stove. 

The bedrooms are versatile and mean we can be flexible to suit your team. We have 3 king sized bedrooms, 1 duplex double, 1 twin and 1 quad room which is set up as 4 single beds as standard, but it is possible to have this prepared as 2 super-king beds, or variations of the same. All of the bedrooms have an en suite shower or bathroom, with basin and WC. 

For those seeking fresh air, the gardens at Oakland West are fabulous. The backdrop of fell and lake views makes it all the more enjoyable, but the expanse of well-kept lawn is perfect for outdoor team building exercises. In the warmer months, there is a large outdoor dining table and 2 charcoal BBQs for al-fresco dining.

There is a handy utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a cloakroom with double basin and WC on the ground floor.

Oakland West is located on Carriage Drive, a private and exclusive area in Windermere.

A short walk from the main street of Windemere where you’ll find a host of supermarkets, bars, restaurants, cafes and other amenities.

On a bus route with direct services to Bowness, Kendal, Ambleisde & Keswick – other areas (such as Coniston, Hawkshead, Ullswater) can be reached from Windermere Bus Interchange, which is about 10 minutes walk from the property. Also 10 minute walk to Windermere Train Station.

  • 10 minute walk to Windermere.

  • 2-3 minute walk to bus stop, 10 minute walk to Windermere bus station.
  • Manchester Airport is the closest airport by mileage. There is a train direct from the airport to Windermere Train Station.
