Set in the peaceful countryside close to the England–Wales border, these three beautifully restored neighbouring barns at Oakleigh Farm provide the perfect setting for large family gatherings, celebrations with friends, multi-generational holidays and corporate retreats. Combining character, comfort and space, the barns offer a wonderful opportunity for groups to stay together while still enjoying their own privacy.

Located in the heart of the North Shropshire Lake District, the charming village of Welshampton is surrounded by stunning countryside, meres, canals and wildlife. Enjoy gentle walks across fields and farmland, follow the scenic Llangollen Canal, or spend time birdwatching and boating around the local meres. Nature lovers may spot buzzards and kestrels overhead, while foxes and badgers are often seen at dusk. The local village pub is within strolling distance, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed meal or evening drink without needing the car.

Oakleigh Farm is ideally placed for exploring both Shropshire and North Wales. Historic Oswestry, just 25 minutes away, is home to one of Britain’s best-preserved Iron Age hill forts and offers independent shops, markets and restaurants. The surrounding area is rich in heritage and attractions, including Chirk Castle, Erddig Estate, Shrewsbury and Chester. For those wanting to venture further afield, Snowdonia National Park, the Llŷn Peninsula and the magnificent castles of Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Conwy are all within reach for memorable day trips.

Designed with group stays in mind, Oakleigh Farm offers excellent social spaces both indoors and outside. Each barn has a fully equipped kitchen, making self-catering easy and convenient, whether preparing family breakfasts or celebratory dinners. Spacious dining areas can accommodate up to 18–20 guests together, creating the perfect setting for long meals and special occasions.

Outside, the enclosed courtyard provides a lovely communal area for al fresco dining, barbecues and evening drinks during warmer months. Guests can unwind in one of the three hot tubs — the Dairy hot tub seats up to nine guests, while the other two each seat six. The Dairy also features a games room with a pool table, adding to the fun for guests of all ages.

The comfortable lounges are ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the area, with plenty of sofas and armchairs, Smart TVs, and cosy log-burning stoves in two of the barns for autumn and winter stays.

Accommodation is arranged across one or two floors depending on the property, with a flexible bedroom layout designed to suit a wide range of groups. Most bedrooms feature king-size beds, alongside one zip-and-link king that can be converted into twin beds, plus one double room. A ground-floor single bedroom in Old Milking Parlour may be particularly useful for guests with limited mobility. Bedrooms are spacious and stylishly furnished with tasteful décor, while contemporary bathrooms and en suites are fitted to a high standard throughout.

- **Dog Friendly:** Well behaved, house-trained dogs are allowed.
- **Accessibility:** Dairy Barn accomodation is all on ground floor level. One twin room is on ground floor in Milking Parlour. All showers are walk-in.
- **Hot Tub:** Hot tubs seat 6-9. Groups will have access to one hot tub. Additional hot tubs can be made available for an additional fee.
- **WiFi:** WiFi is available throughout all 3 properties.
- **Kitchen:** All 3 barns have very well equipped kitchens include dishwashers and access to washing machine and dryer in utility room.
- **Dining Room:** Dairy and Milking Parlour tables seats 10. Stocks Lane seats 8. Additional table available to seat an additional 8-10. 
All have patio, BBQ & garden.
- **Sitting Room:** Each property has plenty of comfy sofas, smart TV and log stove (except Milking Parlour has no stove). Extra sun room in Stocks Lane.
