Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Oakraven Field Centre, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, sleeps 10 - 34 in 5 bedrooms.

Oakraven Field Centre offers exclusive hire with facilities for mixed groups or girl/boy groups can be separated. The large main hall has a wood burner and provides relaxed seating and dining seating for up to 34 people. The games room has a pool table and DVD player. Both the main hall and the games room have digital projectors and screens for teaching. We have walled gardens with outdoor fire-pits and BBQs, we also have a 1 acre field which can be used for games, activities or camping. Sleeping consist of 1 dormitory and 4 bedrooms. On the ground floor, the main dormitory with bunk beds sleeps 18, with another bedroom sleeping 3-4. On the first floor, four bedrooms sleep 3-4, 5-6 and 4-5 people. The maximum number of people is 34. Bottom sheets and pillows are provided. There are separate boys/girls toilets/showers. The accommodation is normally self-catered, but please enquire if you would like a catered option.
Off-site, most activities are available nearby including: canoeing, raft building, rock climbing, mountain biking, caving, obstacle course and navigation, and much much more.

WiFi is available throughout the field centre.

Kitchen

A large kitchen provides everything you need for self catering with two large cookers, large fridge/freezer, dish washer and washing machine.

Dining Room

The large main hall with a wood burner provides a common room and banquet hall comfortably seating 34. We also provide tankards and goblets.

Sitting Room

Comfortable seating and TV is in the main hall. There is also a games room downstairs and a reading room upstairs.

TV and Music Facilities

A large TV screen in the main hall with a large selection of DVDs. Two portable CD players are provided.

Games Room

The games room has a pool table, and we also have darts and a one acre field available for games.

Heating and Open Fires

The main hall has a large wood burner and all firewood is provide. Electric heaters are provided in all the sleeping bedrooms.

Bedrooms

We have 5 bedrooms. The downstairs bedrooms sleep 18 and 3-4, the 1st floor bedrooms sleep 3-4, 5-6 & 3-4 people (3 bedrooms contain double beds)

Linen

Bottom sheets and pillows are provided, but you will need to bring your own duvets/quilts or sleeping bags.

Bathrooms

Downstairs we have separate male and female toilets with two showers. Upstairs there are two bathrooms with toilets and showers.

Children's Facilities

Our garden areas are gated and bounded by stone walls providing a safe and secure environment for children and pets.

Outdoor

We have 1.5 acres of grounds for activities and camping. An adjacent 3.5 acre wildlife reserve is also available for educational use.

Swimming Pool

There is no swimming pool. There are public facilities within a few miles.

Parking

We have parking for up to 25 cars and are accessible by a large coach.

Smoking

No smoking is allowed inside the building, but a smoking shelter is provided in the garden.

Booking Information

Prices are for exclusive booking of the centre. £150 normally returnable security deposit. For current availability see calendar (top left). Sorry no stag parties.
Check in 4pm, check out 10am – can usually be extended at rate of £20 per hour.

Location

Set on the eastern edge of the Forest of Dean, with easy access to the Forest and the River Wye for activities.

Mitcheldean is a short 1.5km walk from the centre.
Mitcheldean has a late opening Co-op with a cash point and post office.
There are three pubs in Mitcheldean.
Bristol.
The nearest train stations are at Gloucester and Lydney.
Bus services from Gloucester operate along the A4136 and a bus stop is located at the beginning of our road, Jubilee Road.
