The Oast House is a “fairy tale” 2-storey house set in the extensive grounds of Pekes Manor estate. It has two large (17ft diameter) round towers (originally used for drying hops for beer making) with a large contemporary extension. The two towers contain two large circular upstairs bedrooms and two large downstairs rooms comprising of a Dining room and Sitting/TV room. The Dining room has two curved tables fitting the rounds and a circular table in the centre. The circular living room has a light parquet floor and attractive working fireplace with comfortable chairs & tables, CD music centre, flat colour TV, DVD player, & Bluetooth docking music player. Free full-fibre fast WiFi.
The bedrooms comprise a large round 4-poster room, a large round family room with Zip&Lock Double bed & 2 singles, a Triple bedroom (3 singles) and a snug single small bedroom. Additionally there is a double sofa-bed in the Dining room.
The house also has a delightful “country style” fully equipped kitchen - electric cooker with oven, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, etc., with windows on 3 sides, and a lovely light oak table that can seat 12. For alfresco dining there is a large built-in brick BBQ outside the back door for those warm summer eveningsand a fire bowl.
The house has a downstairs shower room, an upstairs bathroom with hand-held shower & WC, and 2 separate WCs.
Additional facilities available to our Guests are Pekes indoor heated Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Tennis Court and children's Play area; these facilities are shared with anyone else staying at Pekes at the time, on a rota board basis to ensure complete privacy.
The house is dog-friendly, with a large private garden, and lovely walks through the Park and into the beautiful Wealden open farmland surrounding the estate. 50 miles from London, 10 miles from the sea & the South Downs, 16 miles from Brighton.
