Located in Matlock, on the edge of the Peak District National Park, this newly renovated farmhouse is a real gem for multi generational groups and friends getting together for a holiday or to celebrate a big birthday. It's also popular with groups of walkers and cyclists looking to explore this wonderful part of the country.

Set in 40 acres, Oker Farm is a stunning conversion that definitely has the wow factor. A high end open plan kitchen dining area provides a great sociable space to cook and eat together. Top notch appliances include an Aga and granite worktops. 2 luxury lounges, the games lounge with pool table and the snug offer lots of comfy seating, and there's a cosy wood burner to gather round after a day on the hills or a long dinner.

Outside is certainly no disappointment; there's a patio with seating and an 8 seater Jacuzzi hot tub for some rest and relaxation while the children and dogs make the most of the space for letting off steam. And don't forget fantastic star gazing opportunities in the huge Derbyshire skies. The summer house is a stylish space, home to table football and somewhere else to relax on quality furniture, or as a den for the youngsters in the group.

Upstairs the 5 generously sized bedrooms provide the perfect environment for a good night's sleep. The individually designed rooms can conveniently be made up as super kings or twins on request and 2 have luxury en suites. The 3 bathrooms all have rainfall showers and classic fixtures and fittings. 2 of the bedrooms have an extra trundle bed to accommodate young families.

The Derwent Valley Heritage Trail passes through the land and can be followed all the way to Ladybower Reservoir. Climb the hill to see the Oker Tree, also known as Will Shores Tree, the subject of a poem by Wordsworth. Matlock is a busy town for a wander and very close to Oker Farm. Chatsworth House, Matlock Bath and Bakewell are also within easy driving distance for a day out.
