The Old Bakehouse is a traditional Northumbrian family home sleeping 15 (+2), nestled in the picturesque historic village of Norham. The house retains many original features, including open fires, cornices, shutters and some of the ovens and workings from the old bakery.

Sleeping 17 people in 7 bedrooms there are plenty of communal spaces and an enclosed garden for you to enjoy. Inside there are 4 reception rooms, including a dining room able to seat the whole group, a formal sitting room and separate snug. Outside there is a balcony with views of Norham Castle, a conservatory with table tennis table and a private mock 'pub' room where a barrel of ale from the local artisan microbrewery can be ordered and set up for you on request.

The Old Bakehouse offers a comfortable home from home atmosphere where you can enjoy a relaxed self-catering holiday, or celebration with family and friends. Perfect for singles groups too, the house is able to sleep 12 people in separate beds, so if you wanting to getaway with like minded friends, Norham is a great base for fishing, biking, walking or just exploring this amazing unspoilt area. Very close to the Scottish border and only an hour from Edinburgh and Newcastle by car or 45 mins by train from Berwick, The Old Bakehouse is only a few miles from the coast, Lindisfarne Nature Reserve and the Northumberland National Park. The historic walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is only a 10 minute drive, and the village itself has a pub and great local amenities.

A 25% (non-refundable) deposit is required to confirm a booking, with the remainder payable 12 weeks before the start of your holiday.
Payment is preferred by bank transfer but we can accept cheques. For booking less that 12 weeks from start date, we will require the full amount payable on booking.

Norham Village is situated close to the River Tweed, 15 mins drive from the Northumberland coast, close to mainline train the A1, 1 hr from Edinburgh and Newcastle, 30 mins from Alnwick.
