The Old Corn Mill, Crosthwaite, Kendal, Cumbria

Picturesque views, a secluded location and a distinctive building full of character; the Old Corn Mill at Crosthwaite is the perfect Lake District catered retreat. Families and friends feel at home, for short breaks, or special occasions. The large communal areas make it easy for big groups to eat, drink, chat and relax together.

The converted 18th Century Mill, set within extensive private grounds, still retains many of the original period features, including a working water wheel, whilst offering unrivalled flexibility in accommodation.

With 12 rooms in the Mill plus 6 rooms in the adjoining cottage and 3 in the house, Old Corn Mill can be configured for the accommodation and dining of up to 42 people. Alternatively, either of the two properties can be rented separately. All rooms are decorated to a high standard, offering spectacular views of the Lyth Valley and the mill's surrounding grounds.

Spa and treatment days can be booked, for that ultimate tranquil lakes experience. Local pubs with great food, wine and craft beer are within easy walking distance.

The Mill also provides the perfect location for activity holidays, exploring the surrounding lakes on foot, on four wheels or two. Choose the Mill as your base camp, from where we can arrange the best outdoor activities the Lake District can offer, including:
- Water sports (rowing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding)
