You will find it in a perfect location to help you and your team to learn, develop, re-energise and re-focus. This preserved 18th century corn mill sits within its own riverside grounds in the secluded Lyth Valley and provides an intimate location for sole occupancy groups. The Old Corn Mill gains its name from the amazing feature it still retains – among the many original features are included the huge waterwheel and grindstones giving this site a truly unique feel. The venue offers two training rooms with numerous break-out rooms. Other team building and experiential activities are available onsite. As well as luxury accommodation we can offer a wide range of activities for you and your business group to enjoy, all based in the Lake District. ## Additional Features - IT Facilities - Projectors - Flipcharts - Outdoor Areas ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** Pets may be considered, charges apply - £20 per pet. - **Accessibility:** There are no dedicated disabled facilities but we can provide ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms. The access is external. - **WiFi:** WiFi is available throughout the mill and mobile phone reception is available on most networks. - **Kitchen:** We have a commercial grade kitchen at your disposal along with tea and coffee making facilities in the communal areas. - **Dining Room:** The main dining room can be set out to suit your requirements and can seat 42 people at a maximum. - **Sitting Room:** The main sitting room is full of interesting and quirky features left over from the mill's past, with the workings of the mill still visible. - **TV and Music Facilities:** There is a modern TV in the Mill Stone Room that is used as a lounge area with modern comfy seating. Some board games also available. - **Games Room:** There is no dedicated games room but there is a range of games and jigsaws made available to guests in the main sitting room and a snooker table. - **Heating and Open Fires:** There is central heating throughout the site. - **Bedrooms:** All rooms have double beds and are decorated to high standard. 17 rooms have en suite facilities and 4 share two bathrooms. - **Linen:** All linen and towels are included in the rates. - **Bathrooms:** All but 4 rooms have en suites and those that don't share one bathroom between 2 bedrooms. - **Children's Facilities:** Travel cots, high chairs and stair gates can be available if required. Please request when booking your stay. - **Outdoor:** The Mill has extensive grounds which include a stream and a pond. Ten minutes from Windermere and only 15 minutes from the M6 motorway. ### What's Nearby? - **Location:** Windermere is only a 10 minute drive away and has a host of amenities and activities to enjoy as well as some great shopping and eating establishments. - **Shop:** There is a village shop in Bowland Bridge which is around a mile away, or there is a Booths supermarket in Windermere a ten minute drive away. - **Food and Drink:** The Punchbowl in Crossthwaite Village is a 5 minute walk down the lane, and offers a wide range of local ales and a fantastic menu for all to enjoy. - **Airport:** Manchester is the nearest international airport and can be reached in around 2 hours by car or train. - **Train:** Oxenholme is the closest train station and is well serviced as it is on the West Coast main line from London to Glasgow. It is around 15 minutes from the Mill and around a 2 hour journey from London. - **Bus:** There are bus stops on the A5074 which is the main road at the end of the lane.
