Gather around the open fire in the elegant sitting room with views of the church, gardens and rolling countryside beyond, or settle into the separate TV room which proves particularly popular with youngsters in a mixed group. The spacious dining room comfortably seats 10, making shared meals a highlight of any stay, while the traditional stone-flagged kitchen, complete with an Aga, is the heart of the home, with a large family table ideal for relaxed breakfasts.
Outside, there is something for every generation to enjoy. Children can spend hours in the heated outdoor swimming pool (available May to September), while adults relax on a sun lounger with a good book. Enjoy a friendly tennis match on the astro-turf court, challenge each other to croquet on the lawn, or make use of the table tennis and table football in the garage. As evening falls, gather for drinks and al fresco dining in the gardens.
Upstairs, 5 generously sized bedrooms provide comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests.
