The Old Vicarage has been lovingly restored to its former Victorian glory, retaining many of its original features, whilst being fully modernised. The house is set in 2 acres of grounds on the edge of a pretty village in the heart of the North York Moors, with stunning views of the moors and green slopes of the Rosedale Valley from every window.
It is a perfect destination to escape from it all, relax and spend quality time with friends and family in a truly stunning location with plenty of space (inside and out) to spread out. The Old Vicarage offers a true luxury retreat in a fabulous setting with beautiful views from every window.
There is a large dining room (which comfortably seats all 16 guests), a stunning kitchen for creating a feast, a formal lounge, snug, spacious orangery plus an indoor table tennis table in the converted garage. There are 8 bedrooms, 6 with en suites and 2 which share a large family bathroom. 2 of the twin rooms have the additional benefit of 'ziplock' beds which can be converted to a superking bed. There's also a downstairs toilet. WiFi is provided in the house, plus Netflix is available on all the TVs. Please note there is very limited mobile reception in the village but a landline phone is available in the house for guests to use.
Outside there are 2 acres of gardens and grounds to explore, including a stunning decking area to dine outside and take in the uninterrupted views of Rosedale. There is also a large gas barbecue to compliment the decking and outdoor living space. There's ample parking with space for over 8 cars.
The house is situated in the beautiful Yorkshire village of Rosedale Abbey, with a local café, small village shop and tea room a short stroll from the house. Towards the outskirts of the village there are 2 pubs, both within walking distance.
There are many great local walks right on the door step plus the original Tour de Yorkshire cycle route passes through the village! The steepest public road in the UK (at 1 in 3) takes you up Chimney Bank from the village to breathtaking views over the Moors, Rosedale Valley, village and The Old Vicarage.
