Orlagh House is a beautiful Georgian Mansion that loves hosting large groups . Sleeping 30 at full occupancy (21 separate bed occupancy), the house is ideal for special family occasions, weddings, private or corporate parties, big celebrations.
There are 14 bedrooms, 7 en-suite, but all with WHB or access to showers/WCs.
Orlagh (pronounced Orla, meaning in Gaelic Hill of Gold) is a large house in large mature grounds with beautifully arranged and furnished reception rooms, real fires, tasteful antique furniture and large entertaining rooms. There's also a large basement area with table tennis, darts board and a full-sized snooker table. Plus TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, a large selection of books, DVDs and board games.
Orlagh House can comfortably host small intimate weddings of 25 people or formal wedding banquets in our Ballroom for up to 120 seated guests or much larger numbers outside for a more informal celebration on the lawn with stunning view overlooking the city, with space for a marquee or tent on the lawn if required. The house is in a truly unique position. Located in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains, it is only 25 minutes to Dublin Airport and with all that Dublin City Centre has to offer on its doorstep. Rathfarnham lies in South Dublin and the house is accessible to everywhere via Jn 12 of the M50, less than 5 minutes away.
There is a plethora of activities in close proximity with many fine golf courses including Padraig Harrington’s home course – Stackstown - as well as Rathfarnham GC, Castle GC, Grange GC and Edmondstown GC. Within easy reach is Druids Glen, The European, Royal Dublin, Portmarnock and The K Club. The house has a close relationship with our immediate neighbour Rathfarnham Equestrian Centre, which provides trekking and whose horses grace the estate.
